Hi all

We are flying from manchester on the 18th at 13.55 and have a few more questions.

Are infants allowed in the Al La Carte restaurants?

How much is the creche for an evening session?

Can late check out be booked at hotel?

How do i request a cot or will that be provided as booked for 1 year old?

Thanks

Gemma

Hi, we returned from the HV on the 29th August,
yes infants can go in the a la cartes they have high chairs if you need one.
We booked late check out with the hotel it was £27 to keep the room until 5pm. We had interconnecting rooms but only wanted to keep one of them late we booked direct with the hotel as FC wanted to charge us for both the rooms late check out.

Cant comment on the creche we didnt use that only Wavelength, this was all free apart from a couple of the sessions. You'l have a great time :cheers :cheers
ps book the a la cartes as soon as you can, we waited a couple of days and couldnt get in any of them until the 2nd week. They only save a couple of the tables per time slot for the free visits the rest of the tables are kept for paying diners, while the Mediteranean is open for lunch (1pm-4pm) there is a lady there taking bookings for all 3 restaurants, be there for 1pm on the day after you arrive this will be the earliest you can book. On the day of your arrival they will be shut by the time you arrive and check into your room if your arriving late evening.

hi all  2 sleeps to go feeling very nervous yet excited now, this will probably be our last post untill we get back, got so much to do :tongue
just need a quick response to a couple of questions if anyone can help, are the hairdryers working now and is a visa essential for excursions (not going ciaro) have asked this before but still not clear on this :duh by the way my freinds son is there right now and the temp is 36 daytime and 29 nighttime :tup have a great holiday to all those going soon and to those with a bitof a wait, trust me it will flyby :D

Hi nixon4444
yes hairdryers work (well mine and my sisters did!)
think you need visa if you plan on leaving Sharm for any excursions (think this includes diving trips but the air stewardesses will explain this as you have to complete a form on the plane..so keep all the passports to hand because all the info is on these!)
have a super time...I would just recommend on using the doctor if you get ill as the pharmacy is prone to giving wrong medicine out and I would recommend on getting insurance with no excess so you can get all your money back.. we must of paid out over £100 to pharmacy (this included ointments for mozzie bites that I am obviously allergic to!) and before we went to the doc and only paid £35 to doctor and £6 for prescription!)
You will all have a fab time but just be prepared for the possibility of the Egyptian Tummy!!

Hi Gemma

We are also going to hv on the 18th for 2 weeks with a one year old staying in a swim up. I contacted the hotel the other day to request a cot to be in the room when we get there and a kettle and they confirmed they will have this ready.
We have also booked a baby pack which includes a baby bath, high chair, uv tent, steriliser, food/bottle warmer, buggy and changing mat. It might be worth doing that. I think it worked out around £70 for 2 weeks.

In regards to your question about weetabix my son also loves them so will be taking some with me as well as his favourite snacks!

We aren't bothering to take any beach towels as they are provided so would be a waste of space (rather take a few extra bikinis!).

If you want to request a cot in your room for when you get there contact Ramy on ramy-moris@coralsearesorts.com. He's really helpful.

See you there!

Natalie.

Ok starting to pack the cases at last ! can't decide wether to roll or fold our clothes, i'm normally a folder but my friend swears by rolling, what do you guys normally do ??.
Also starting to worry about my d/d (3) on the flight ! she has flown lots of times before, even to Australia! but is a very active little girl now ;).

Oh and I know you have to buy tobacco within a certain amount of time of landing in Egypt but as we are not planning on leaving the complex could I just get some from the airport on the way home ? do they have the same brands as us ? ( golden virginia) and what is our allowance?

Finished the last of our shopping yesterday, got some good deals on suncream ! and finally got round to getting some under water camera's ( still on bogof in boots ).

really excited now ! Is it better to ring the hotel or e-mail to upgrade? tempted to go for a junior suite instead of swim-up rooms but have no idea how many these sleep or if they have interconnecting rooms :think we booked this holiday a year ago to the day when we go and it seems to have taken forever to arrive !

You only need a visa if you are going out of the Sinai area, my husband dives his only trip he needed the visa for was when he dived the thistlegorm a 4 hour boat trip out of sharm.
If you ask the cabin crew they tend to tell you to buy one unnecessarily. :cheers
the hairdryer was fine worked no probs have fun :D

Hi all have really enjoyed reading this topic. My sister and i are off to the hv aug 2009, i know its a long time to wait. Just got back 3 weeks ago from this years holiday. Its our first one without kids (they are getting too old now) and no men. We have paid and extra £140 each for a swim up room and can't wait to read all of your reviews when you return. Have a great time everyone. Sue & Allie
