Calella and LLoret are lively resorts and there are bound to be lots of young people around.

Blanes is really nice but I think a 16 yr old might find it boring. My 15 yr old struggled to find fun things to do - apart from the obvious like the beach. There was very little for teenagers in the evening.

Thanks for replying. I had to go ahead and book somewhere because we're going next week, and there wasn't much choice (except for hotels which were slated in the reviews). I've gone for the Aquahotel at Santa Susanna in the end, but I think it's got easy access to the livelier resorts.

I've put a question about transfers from Barcelona airport in the Transfers thread, if anyone could help, please.

Great choice of hotel and resort, right opposite the beach via the subway , Malgrat is more livelier for the evening with english style pubs and bars. You can walk into pineda and calella along the beach, or catch the buses or train which are very reliable . There is a little tractor train that takes you around the town and one that goes up into the hills .

Have a great holiday .

Thanks, Llindy. We're off in the morning. That tractor train into the hills sounds good.
