i go to turkey a few times a year and usually go in oct too and ive always had lovely weather during the day but chilly at night and lightweight jackets were needed, we are also going this oct , i love this time of year as the temp is comfortable, most places are still open although sometimes there is slightly less selection in restaurants, shops etc,its a good time for shopping for bargains as the shops, bazaars etc are trying to get of all summer stock

i agree 100% with your comment about comparing turkey where ever you go we do the same lol, and always wish we were in turkey instead of where ever we are, mainly to do with the friendly people i think

Have been the last week of Oct and weather lovely during day but really cold at night. Been second to last week and it was hot day and night. Went first week in 2004 and was beautiful weather both day and night. Last year went the first week of Oct and it was only nice for 3 days. The other days it was freezin & raining!!!! This year trying the last week of Sept. Finger's crossed

we went to Turunc last week Sept./1st weekOctober last year.

Apart from one spectacula thunderstorm which was at night when it hammered it down, it was hot and sunny (but not too fierce) every day.

Some evenings were quite chilly so a light cardy or sports top comes in handy.

It did seem to get dark very quickly as well especially as the sun disappears behind the mountains in Turunc about 6.30.

I too have been gping to Turkey most years in October and find it so nice. It is really warm during the days (a bit like a good British summer) and in the evening a slight chill. Two years a go I went to a new location which is now becoming very popular with Bris for its healthy air reputation (Awarded United Nations tick in the box for it's air purity). The place is called Akbuk near to Altinkum. It is unique in that it is right on the Agean Sea and has a mountain/forest backdrop so it tends to hold the heat in the evenings.
I enjoyed it so much I bought a nice villa and spend many a day, week or longer relaxing and knowing that the hustle and bustle of Altinkum is just up the road. For the winter I had a immersion switch fitted to my solar panels and purchased a small portable gas heater which is sufficient. MMMMMMM for the peace and Tranquility of Turkey.

Hi, I bought an apartment in Akbuk, beautiful place, very relaxing! Haven't been able to get out there this year as yet, hoping to go in October for a couple of weeks. Weather sound nice in October, only ever been earlier in the year before.
