Fatboy for some reason, when I go to ryanair the only flight from Manchester is to Dublin - there aren't any other options from the dropdown box.
i see that they must not fly from manchester then to alicante they fly from liverpool what about easyjet or jet2 try them
jet2.com £382 for the both of you thats inc luggage
£129.99 Outbound (Friday 23rd July)
£42.99 Inbound (Weds 28th July)
So that's ... a lot more than you came up with lol.
They have Jet2 flights from there but you'd have to go from 21st for 5 days not 22nd for 2 thats £358 plus booking fee's but includes bags!...The beauty of using Blackpool is that once you pay the £10 Airport Developement fee, you get free parking...for upto £15 days!
Cheers Fatboy....nice to hear from you to mate!
Best Regards - Taggy
true thats a good deal too mind i was looking at 22 july easyjet dont fly that day lol
I always stay at the Levante Club and never had any problems until the last time I went in 2007. Had one night where two couples were in the next room for one night and were rather noisy but they were OK and quitene down when I asked them to. Some girls a few doors along apologised once for having been noisy throughout their stay but I hadn't even heard them!. Most noise was early one Saturday morning when a group of Spanish guys were just sitting outside the bars across the road shouting at the hotels .
I think they'd been in that Spanish nightclub across the road that looks like a deserted bar from the 70's.
Surprisingly The Flamingo Oasis certainly does attract a fair few Stag & Hens, there was some there when we stayed there for a few days a couple of years back and by all accounts things have not improved...in fact, for several reasons...stag & hens being just one...many of the regulars who used to stay there, now look elsewhere!
The prop was doing his bar and the resort in general no favours by making a sweeping statement like that! Benidorm is still a family resort (hence the waterpark, theme park, kids entertainment in some bars and the many "festilandia" parks around town). Stag and hen parties only come here from Friday to Sunday (sometimes Thursday to Sunday).
The stag n hen "season" briefly finishes in July and re-starts in September. This is thought to be because August is wedding month!!!!
So those who want to avoid stags/hen groups have only August to come to Benidorm.?!!!!

Is that supposed to be reassuring that you might only have three/four days ruined out of every seven.?

I thought they were all there before the stag/hen groups decided to 'invade' the resort.????

Whats the dates in August that 'these' don't pollute the resort, so i know when to book, it's Alcudia for me in 3 days time instead of our 'normal' may 2wks in Benidorm.
Typically its the most expensive time of the year they don't pollute the resort.
Stags n hens have been coming here for many many years (as have the families before anyone jumps on my words), and unfortunately for those who don't like them, Benidorm as a resort needs the money they generate in the bars and clubs. We have suffered from the recession like everyone else with bars etc closing down due to lack of customers and lack of spending.
I go out on a Sunday night round town and while I know the stag groups are out and about I don't see much of them, they don't tend to go in the cabaret bars and quite a few of the smaller bars don't allow them in anyway. (They have a sign on the door usually saying these groups are not welcome!)
If you pick the odd sentence out of context and twist it, you can make anything sound bad can't you!!!
Lisa, you're in the lucky position that when you go home on an evening you don't have these groups of people carrying on all night in the room next door to you or in your corridors all night long pissing about keeping everyone awake, that us holiday makers have to put up with in our hotels, like sanji has pointed out previously, the resort is going to lose the 7/10/14 day holiday family crowd for the piss head long weekend stag & hen crowd.

Very true, Benidorm has lost us and it's all down to the stag & hen parties. We have no problem at all with people enjoying themselves, but when they bring it back to the hotel and keep us awake until they decide to stop shouting, swearing, singing, then we will, and are, taking our custom elsewhere. When you are on a 2 week holiday to have 6 to 8 nights ruined because of these parties is totally unacceptable. We used to go 4 or 6 weeks a year to Benidorm, so you don't need to be good at maths to work out that Benidorm will lose out in the long run.
Thing is, we can all argue all sides until we're blue in the face, but if the only custom and income Benidorm is getting is the stag/hen/birthday/rugby/golf groups then they'll welcome them with open arms. Even when there are no stags and hens etc here, (ie February) Benidorm is like a ghost town!
I wasn't twisting anything out of context and if you want to make a point about the distinction between someone saying all year, when it's 11 months, then it's worth me mentioning that for those who want to avoid these groups, we only have the month of August, which is the high season prices and the month the Spanish take their holidays.
Stag/hens may have been coming to Benidorm in previous years, but NOT in the volume they are coming now and "normal" people don't usually come in at 4 am and decide to hold a party until 7am, and neither do "normal" people take over the pool area shouting and swearing.
IMO: You're only looking at the problem from the bar/club perspective.
What you're going to lose is the families and old people, yes old people may not use the clubs and they might sit there with a couple of drinks all night, but these people book long stay holidays of 28 and 42 nights, which keeps hotels open all YEAR, which actually keeps more people in employment than some bar. And the resort is suffering because they've gone down the road of all inclusive, so the bars are going to suffer"¦times change.!
What you're going to end up with is hotels empty from Sunday night until Thursday until these groups of people arrive, because families and old people do not want to be around hen/stag groups, so they'll keep away from the resort and you're also going to end up with empty seats on planes and less flights. Yeah, that sounds like good future planning.
I love Benidorm, but after the last visit, it's going to take a lot of persuading to get David back there"¦.he probably will change his mind in time because he has the same love of the place as I do"¦..but, at the moment, Benidorm has lost over a £1000 "¦. plus what we spend in the bars/shops and if you multiply that by a few hundred/thousand people"¦.?????
We usually alternate between Benidorm and the Costa del Sol"¦sorry, it's going to be the CDS twice this year, so these wonderful stag/hen groups can keep Benidorm ticking over and when they get tired of coming to Beni, you'll be begging for the likes of me to come back.
IMO:Lose a few bars and it's not the end of the world....lose a few hotels and you really will know what a ghost town is like.
Sanji
Visit this place in January and you WILL know what a ghost town is like, the shops, bars and some of the hotels are closed for most of that month. But there is no point arguing with people who have already made their minds up, I appreciate that.
Visit this place in January
Ermmm, I have and in Feb and March and April
But there is no point arguing with people who have already made their minds up, I appreciate that.
Who's arguing? I thought I was having a discussion, what is it, someone has a different opinion to you or looks at the problem from a different angle and they're arguing.?
Sanji
