For any complaint you need to ask yourself at the beginning whether you are prepared to keeping fighting and dealing with correspondence for perhaps a year. If the answer is yes then keep at it, if it's no or you are unsure then you may as well not make a complaint in the first place.

Those that are successful are the ones with the tenacity to keep going and not let the other party away with it.

I gave up with a complaint with Thomson after about 4 months of to-ing and fro-ing going back to 2002 and I regret it bitterly! They were in the wrong and I should have taken it all the way to get full compensation for what was without a doubt the worst holiday I have experienced (and I've had plenty of jollies)!

As Luci says you've got to keep going if you want it resolving to your satisfaction and all tour operators want to make it as tough and as long drawn out as possible so you get sick and give up. I'm annoyed with myself for letting them off the hook and NO way ever would I do it now.

Hope you get it sorted!
