As is probably well known, hotels in Las Vegas tend to have limited lives. At the North end of the Strip, the famous Sahara closed last year and has already been demolished; next to where the Sahara was the New Frontier has now closed (at rather short notice). It will presumably be demolished shortly, which will leave a huge open lot between Circus Circus and the Fashion Show Mall.
There are of course many new hotels being built, and the new hotel next to the Venetian is scheduled to be open by Xmas, and the Wynn's second tower opens next year.

I think the Sahara would be interested to hear that as it's still very much open!
Is it the Stardust you are thinking of which has been closed and imploded?

The building next to the Venetian isn't a hotel is it? I thought it was the Venetian 'Shoppes' a huge shopping area to rival the Forum etc in Caesers??
TC
The building next to the Venetian is a hotel called 'The Palazzo' scheduled to open December 20th at the moment.
Yes the Venetian are builiding a new tower of rooms and is set to rival the MGM Grand as the biggest hotel in Vegas.
Then there is the City Centre project and a load of other construction. If it's windy when you're there it gets a bit dusty.
D'oH!!! Stardust NOT Sahara...............
Apparently Donald Trump has bought some of the Frontier's plot to buolding a seocnd Trump Hotel tower.
