Hi all,my mother and father in law have booked to spend christmas and the new year at this hotel and reading the reviews i am really worried for them, they are both senior citizens and are diabetic, and they both hate garlic. Most of the reviews that i have found for this hotel say that the food is cold and covered in garlic.I just wondered if it really is this bad as they will need to change it now as i should imagine that most of the good hotels will be booked up.
Any help at all will be really appreciated.
Thank you
Angela.
They will be OK.
The spanish don't mind cold food, mainly due to the fact that they use mealtimes as a way of discussing the days events, so the food goes cold anyway. In hotels where the food is not always hot they usually provide a microwave in the dining room.
Btw, cold food was not mentioned to me by those I took back on Sunday, so I assume that the food is served hot.
The only downside they had about the hotel is that the reception seemed understaffed.
Its a good hotel, in a very good location.
roast beef, roast pork, chicken (without garlic!), sometimes show cooking, fish grilled, fried or in a sauce. potatoes, fresh veg, the only dish containing the garlic was a potato dish and the garlic was visible.
Bread and butter pudding, apple pie/crumble, rice pudding, enjoyed by both Spanish and British guests.
Breakfast was bacon, beans, tomato, black pudding and eggs cooked in any way you can imagine. Fresh fruit, yogurts and cereals, cold cheeses and meats. Not forgetting the Buck's Fizz!
This is some of the best food that they have had whilst in Benidorm and they are looking forward to their next trip there in December (the 3rd time this year).
I had read some of the reviews out to my mum before she went this last time and she does not think that they were of the same hotel!
She found it a pleasure to be staying at such great hotel along with pleasant Spanish families with their well-behaved childeren....
Tell your in-laws not to worry, it should be a marvellous experience in this hotel over the festive period!
we are going to benidorm / hotel dynastic from 25/07/09 for 2 weeks all inclusive
and i am led to believe that our all inclusive band / card also gets us all inclusive in a bar on the beach
could anyone let me know what bar this would be please.
cheers
This one will be interesting, I've never heard anybody talking about this! Surely whoever you have booked with should be able to tell you? It sounds a great idea. John

yet not sure if this offer is still on.
Struggling to place Beach Bay bar on Levante beach, in all the times i have been to Beni I just can't recollect seeing it! John
hi we went to this hotel last december and are going back again this december, cant recall any beach bar but the drinks are all inclusive if you have booked all inclusive you have a card which you give to the waiter everytime you have a drink there is an outside where you can sit where the pool is but its not far from the beach but no beach bar, the food is fab, the only thing that i can critize is the entertainment but the staff all work very hard and are very pleasent
Thought it was great when I was there, best rooms ever large and modern hotel was spotless a bit clinical I thought, and the food was fine, bottles of wine and bottles of bud on a/i so we were well happy hope you have a good time
