Has anyone been to this Hotel recently. I am about to book with flyglobespan, but I have read some conflicting reports in the hotel forum, which all seem to date from 2005. Really need some objective advice, realistic - either good or bad would be greatly appreciated

Gracias

i'm also going end of may, all the reviews of the new hotel that i have seen, says it's very clean, nice food, good service, lovely rooms, pool is not that big though, and evening activitys are poor eg bingo. but i think it's what you make of it. you don't have to stay for bingo you can visit over places, or join in you never know you might end up loving it :)
but as i said i have not been yet.

Here`s some info on the Hotel from a Spanish site, it has been translated, so it may not make sense as per English.

Hi All,

I stayed at this hotel for a week in October 05. I enjoyed my stay there.
The staff were friendly and the rooms were lovely. The lifts were slow but it didn't cause us much hassle. The pool is fine but you have to chase the sun all day :D There is a large indoor pool which you have to buy a swimming hat to use, €3. The entertainment was rubbish, we went out most nights though. I didn't rate the food for a 4* hotel, however, I overheard a lady telling someone that the food was out of this world  - each to their own. I have to say that I always managed to find something.
The only bar was located beside the pool. They might have opened another one by now though as they were decorating a large room on the ground floor while we were there.
Hope this helps.

This hotel is 4* and is situated at the Levante side of town. Within the hotel reviews there is a Dynastic park hotel which is NOT the same hotel.

We stayed at the Dynastic July 2006 in one of the family rooms that are quite big. We had an AI deal and in my view was a poor return. The meals are buffet style and it does not take long to get fed up with the same stuff. The AI wine is kept in a large sink behind the bar in the restaurant or food hall as we found it. The bottle are all already opened with the cork pushed back in. (this is to allow more H20 to be added).

The rooms are clean and the towels are changed daily. When we where there lots of people where complaining about how poor the AC in the rooms where. (28 oc at night)

The Hotel has 2 main buildings, one of 8 floors and one with 22. We spent most of the holiday waiting for the lifts.
We got lots of power cuts and got stuck more than once. When the power comes back on it ignores your request and goes to -1.

There where quite a few break-ins and would recommend a safe (23 euros for a week, 10 returned on exit)

The hotel is very popular with the Spanish, so be prepaired to have them cut in and make you feel second class.

The pool area is too small for the size of the hotel.

I would only give this hotel 4 out of 10

Hi billbo ... those reviews listed under Hotel Dynastic Park are in fact for the same hotel, which has been reconstructed and is now known as Hotel Dynastic. The review page was set up pre-reconstruction, but only attracted reviews from holidaymakers post-reconstruction. Please feel free to add your review to that page (click here), and the name, star rating, etc will be edited by Admin as soon as is possible.

Hi Margaret .. I have merged your enquiry with this existing thread mentioned by joolz. From the Levante Beach and Burger King area, you would head along Avenida Ametlla de Mar in the direction of Hotel Flamingo Oasis, Melia Benidorm and Benidorm Palace. The Dynastic is on the left hand side, just after the indoor market. If you have good eyesight, you may see it highlighted by the number '77' on grid reference 'M10' of our Benidorm Levante map.

Hi joolz ... the ony e-mail address I can find is associated with Ona Sol Hotels, but I have a feeling that the hotel is no longer part of that group.

many thanks; i know the entrance to indoor markey just down from Sol Pelicanos and the other opening; is this were the hotel is; a group are going for long weekendjust before christmas; another question why have the prices of hotels goneup so much; stayed in flamingo benidorm in May and for 9 days AI £405. for 2 ; price now for 8 days in November and also for same time next year (May) £588, increase of £160, per room ; also tried other hotels and founf quite a jump in prices; have government raised taxes or what.

Margaret ...from the Pelicanos, you would walk along passed the indoor market and turn left on to Avenida Ametlla de Mar. The Dynastic would be next block along on the left.

Difficult to say about the prices, which obviously vary according to supply and demand, when you book, etc. November sometimes sees a rise in prices because it is a busy and popular time in Benidorm due to one of the major Fiestas of the year. But what you are seeing may just be part of the year on year increase in package holiday prices.

Margaret - about 2wks ago we booked Dynastic, AI, through Flyglobespan for £386 (2people). Out of nosiness last week I rechecked price and noticed it had gone upto £460 for exact same 4days. Last night noticed it was £436. Don't know why sudden increases.

I stayed at this hotel from the 6th - 13th of April this year. I have still to post my review in the hotel section but a brief summary would be:-

Food excellent
Staff on the whole excellent
Spa complex excellent
Rooms great
Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at
Pool area not the biggest or best
Ideal location for all the nightlife

Would I stay there again....never! Why you may ask, it is overrun at weekends with Stag parties who have no consideration for the other guests and make being around the hotel virually unbearable. We had 5 lovely days at the Dynastic but the Friday and Saturday were very uncomfortable as large male groups tried to impost their town/region/football club on all the guests as well as squabble between themselves and the language was terrible. No wonder the Brits get a bad name abroad! According to the Thomas Cook rep it is the norm for here and other All Inc Hotels near to the nightlife areas.

A good hotel wasted!

thanks iain, ive booked today but were going fuertevetura 2009 instead got a good deal ai on what appears to be a great hotel.
might look again for benidorm for 2010, already going costa brava this year.
i do fancy beni and got some good quotes but there seemed to be some bad points with all the hotel i could afford.
the one i booked today seems perfect for us in every way we even get a seperare bedroom which we wasn't expecting.
we will get to beni one day though.
