I have just rang them up and asked for Kellie who is not on so I asked the guy nicely and he said ''errr I'm not sure when it will be closing you need to speak to the manager who's not on duty at the moment''.
We love the rooftop terrace all the times we have been we have all enjoyed it up there. I know we wouldn't want to pay the price after that when it dose close.
Hope you get some reply Linda.
Danny
Thanks for that Danny, will post on here if I get a reply........ Linda x
Thomson have also changed the text on the rooftop pool picture on there site which now says:
Rooftop pool and bar for Club room guests only
so looks as though this will be sometime soon and im due there in April with Northantsj and we will be gutted as we spent alot of time up there last year.
My dad is gutted too when I told him before, and my nan will be as we spent August nights up there till early in the morning which was great last year.... oh its such a shame! I'm really gutted.
I know you can pay extra if you want that but its not the point and i would no way pay extra its seems totally unnecessary for them to do this in a family hotel.

im gutted too. i loved relaxing and listenting to the music up there.
i will be at the flamingo oasis 19th jan so will let you know, and will ask when it will be club members only
If people have already booked, and the tour companies haven't warned you of the changes, then I think it's a disgrace. Maybe they will honour people who booked before a certain time? I hope so anyway.
I look forward to reading the responses you get from the Oasis/tour operators.
Jayne
There's no mention of club rooms, or an option when booking, and on the hotel information it just says rooftop pool/terrace for adults only......
It's also not mentioned in my Thomson May-October 2009 book. Let's hope I get a reply soon....... .......Linda.
I'm sure the hotel will lose out by doing this as we definitely won't go back again. It will be our fourth time there in April but will be the last. I'm annoyed as I've recommended the Flamingo Oasis and I know people have booked. I hope everyone complains about this as we should have been told when we booked. It really is disgraceful.
We've booked here for May and I was looking forward to going up there and having a look at the views from up there.
It only gives you the option to book a club room ( superior twin room) or a club suite from May onwards, up until then it's not showing as an option.
The prices for the rooms are £12 per night for a superior twin, and £18 per night for a suite, extra supplement.
On the information part, it clearly states that the rooftop terrace/bar is only available to club guests on an evening BUT...further on it states that the rooftop terrace/bar is only for the exclusive use of the club guests. Very confusing. Oh! nearly forgot, it also states that the club option is exclusive to Thomson customers........
If this is the case, they have lost a customer with me, and I shall tell them so when I go in March.....Linda....
This Hotel is available through other Travel Agencies not just Thomsons. It really annoys me when supplements are added on.As if this Hotel hasn't had enough money out of its Guests. For 5 years it was sold only to Thomsons and Thomas Cook no one else could get a room in it not even local agencies. They make enough profit they probably buy the rooms for next to nothing. Some Hotels only have rooftop pools no supplement there.
We have booked with direct holidays and the 4th April is there last booking for 14 nights they do not go to this hotel after this. Its very annoying that you may not be able to go on the rooftop without paying the supplement. This will be my fifth trip and last. carol

we wanted to go back to F.O in summer 2010 no way now though as we would not want to pay the price again with out it.
Jean
ive never heard anything about this from direct holidays, going to phone them tomorrow as i dont want to get there and be moved to different hotel, Carroll how did you find out that direct holidays were stopping this hotel in april?
Jean
sorry if im confusing anyone here, but im a bit confused myself, is it the rooftop pool access that is stopping on the 4th april or is it actually the flamingo oasis that direct holidays wont be using? as i said im due to stay here from 27th june this year and no idea what to do about this , could anyone give me some advice on what my options are before i call them , thanks .
