Sorry to give a negative reply but we stayed there 3 years ago and to be honest we did not rate it, the rooms were fine but the food was not very good and general running of the restaurant was a joke.

We stayed there a few years ago and thought it was FAB!

My dh actually proposed to me there, ahhhhhhhhhh...

You'll be fine, the only thing we found was that it was difficult to get a sun lounger by the downstairs pool, we went on the roof a lot! (not in the nudy area, I hasten to add!) This was in June 2000.

Have a great time,

Mrs Moo xxx :D

We have stayed there a few times, and loved it. Rooms are large and clean, food was good when we were there, pool area not on top of one another, and near all the great shops, what more could you want. Carole

Hi,
Sorry to give a negative answer but I agree with Geoff it reminded me of faulty towers when we were there easter 2005. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice and spacious, but the rest :?: :?: :?: Aparently it used to be very good, but by the time we went it had gone downhill according to regulars we talked to, who said they wouldn't go back and yet used to go year after year. :(

Hi Debhiwahh

That sounds like a very good deal, which site did you book with.

I can't remember the site we booked through...will update as soon as I find out though!

I'm not too worried about food - we've only signed for the breakfast option. We generally eat out any way, and I'm not one for sitting by the hotel pool.

I only hope there's not Basil & Sybil Fawlty types running the place - OR Manuel!!

Phew..ok if you are staying on B & B basis I will reply..stayed there many times a few years ago and thought it was fantastic on all counts..Went back 3 years ago and it was still a nice hotel but the standard of the food was not a patch on how it had been in previous years.. They had a change of management..I'm actually a pretty relaxed person but they screwed up on my booking big time as well despite me asking via E mails and getting confirmations etc...As a result i've taken my business elsewhere..I do hope though that you like it and have a fantastic time!

Does anyone know the email address for the Noelia Sur hotel?

I kno wthe web site for the hotel chain has a generic email address. I was hoping to email the hotel direct as we're off there for our honeymoon and I wanted to ask them about any extras they migh be able to offer us...champagne on arrival, etc.....

Thanks all in advance!

Thanx peeps!

I'll try & have a better holiday.....I won't be at the Paraiso Royale this time! GOT to be better!

Can't wait to get back to PDLA....now the weather's been a bit pleasant here I'm getting the urge to go back again!!

For some reason in January I always start getting itchy feet and wanting to go back! Every year since I first went!

I've recently won £200 of Thomas Cook vouchers at work, so later in the year (or maybe next year) I'll be contributing those towards another visit!

If you havent stayed there already you will probably love it, it's the nicest hotel in it's area. Just make sure you get a pool view or you could have one of the rooms they gave us first (we were looking at a brick wall).

The food is gorgeous though.

Hi

what did you find wrong with the Paraiso Royale if you don't mind me asking

Well Chris....

The complex looked lovely, but they placed us right next door to Leonardo's with the 'Wild Boys' playing the same set every night!!

Now I didn't mind them for the first 2 or 3 nights - all very nice, sat on the balcony having our grub, drink and free entertainment....

When we wanted to go to bed however, we could still hear them and the VERY loud crowd that seemed to clap even if they farted in tune!

We asked to be moved to another room, but the hotel manager clammed up, claiming he couldn't speak much English. As my brother was with us, he has a strict routine as he needs to take his insulin at regular intervals, so he tended to be up very early so he was usually wanting to be in bed for around midnight. I know that PDLA's nightlife is only just getting going at this time....we were well aware it would be loud (ish)....

In the end we started staying out as late as possible and getting back to the apartment exhausted..and this began to be a chore instead of a holiday..

The hotel room was dangerous....my partner's bed kept collapsing....and my brother badly gashed his ankle on my partner's bed as he was walking past it. It had a metal base and this was sticking out. Oh - and this was funny - on day 3 of our stay, the maintenance man came in and repainted our very dirty and grubby balcony table! This stank for a few hours!!

What was the last straw was 5 nights before we were due to return, the power went out whist the lovely 'Wild Boys' were singing their hearts out. As my brother had all his insulin in the fridge, we needed the power sorting out pretty sharpish. We called the apartment manager on the emergency number they'd given us, and he initially refused to come out saying he was at home and it was too far and too late to come out. We had to explain so he could understand that we couldn't put up with no power due to needing to keep my brother's insulin cool...

Eventually (3 hours later) he came, and of course as soon as he tested everything, the power came back on. He gave us a dirty look and walked out - and as soon as he slammed the apartment door, all the power went off again. He agreed to return at 8.30 the following morning to sort things out - and he turned up at 2pm...talk about manana!!

By then we'd had enough and he finally offered us another room - but when we looked at it, it faced out onto a path that we'd noticed all the drunks wakled down to get back to the Las Piramides apartments. Reluctantly, we decided to return home 4 nights early - only my partner's birthday. This trip had been for him & my brother (both had birthdays in the same week) and it was a nightmare....

It hasn't put me off Tenerife, but I know we'll never stop in that part of PDLA again....anywhere on route to Veronica's!!

Sorry to bore everyone with my rantings!!!

I've just booked my parents into this complex for a week.

But it is a private apt. There will be no trouble with the music from leonardos as it is shut, because of roadworks outside.

If you don't mind me asking what apt number was you staying in.

The beds in my parents room look like those on metal legs as well.

I think we were in room 31 or 33? It was upstairs anyway. We were right next to the gates that lead out next to Leonardo's....but ours wasn't a private apartment. We booked via an online travel agency.

Some of the private apartments look lovely, and there's a nice little section with a bench where you can relax - and some lovely cats!

We didn't go near the pool area as we were out a lot during the day time.

The only parking was outside the entrance that is near Las Piramides, but we never had an issue with parking, usually getting within spitting distance of the gates.

I would think if you're further in the complex, the noise shouldn't travel that far so hopefully they won't experience too much of a racket. The beds fold out from the wall - when folded into the wall, it looks like there's a wardrobe unit. The kitchen was small, but not too bad. I must say though - I've stayed all over PDLA in the last few years and it was the very first time I've seen cockroaches! They tended to fly in through the windows! We also had a lizard somewhere in the room! I saw it next to my partner's bed, and it ran away but not out of the patio doors!!!

I hope they have a good time though - just warn them about those beds!!!

there room is 210 and there friend is in 212

it looks nice, i'm not to bothered about the complex, because we stay at palm beach so they will be there with us everyday. it wasjust somewhere to lay there head so to speak.

We stayed at the Noelia Sur last July and had a great time, enjoy your honeymoon. I emailed them to request two rooms next door to each other and they fulfilled my request, I went through the main website to email them and followed the links that way. Also I had my birthday out there and they put a bottle of Champagne in my room.
Enjoy PDLA, we have just come back and the weather has been fantastic.

Thanks for the extra info there Claire!

I'll email them as I want to plan a surprise for my fiancee when we get there!

I hope the weather's nice the 1st 2 weeks of June. The first time I went I came back on 5th June (co-incidentally the first day of our honeymoon) and I remember it was blazing hot....
