Hi!

Sorry to hear about the aircon, What a pain! Did you mention this to the rep?

I know when we went (Sep), the aircon was up and running, and the rooms were lovely and cool.

I do know that some hotels use their discretion between sep-april.

no we booked it direct so no rep. moved out of the orange now but could not get a refund even charged for the safety deposit box for the whole week even though we only stayed 3 days. we have booked in to the presidente the air conditioning is on here, cost us another 280 euros for 4 days but worth it, good night sleep at last.

Well its never totally quiet in Beni, but will be quieter than most times then, with it being after the Fiesta's and before Christmas!

We have been to Benidorm most months of the year except August and January. A few years ago we were there mid December (came home on the 19th) and found it really quiet. A lot of the Cabaret and others bars were closed. We were told that it is in early December a lot of Bar owners and Artistes take their own holidays after the Fiesta and before opening again for Christmas. We were there for Christmas last year and when we arrived a lot of places were just re-opening after their break. Benidorm is never 'dead' though, it just means you may have to search more for entertainment.
The weather was pleasant during the day but cold at night. Even saw frost on the cars in the street a couple of times.

Was wondering if anyone knows if Hotel Orange has Wifi?

It didn't have last year. There are a couple of computers in reception, but they are expensive.

There is cheap internet in one of the little supermarket on the road that runs along the Orange.

Thanks Luci.
I'm thinking of taking my little netbook with me. Think I may still take it because I can use it at Gatwick before we go and there's bound to be a couple of Wifi spots out in Benidorm! :cheers

Hi wheatcrunchie ... it's obviously not in the immediate vicinity of the Orange, but I know that a couple of years ago, the whole of La Plaza de Sus Majestades los Reyes de Espana was designated a free to use WiFi zone. That's the Town Hall Square inside Parque De L'Aiguera.

I've not found many free Wi-Fi places. There is the one David mentioned, the municipal library, and McDonald's give away 15 free minutes for every sale. You have to ask for a voucher when you order. I use the free Wi-Fi at the Metropolitan gym near to our apartment, but you have to ask for the access code. I usually go into the cafe and get a drink to use theirs.

I believe there is a bar near to Levante club hotel that has free Wi-Fi too.

Probably been mentioned before but although not near the Hotel Orange, The London Bar on Calle Londre offers free wi-fi as long as you buy a drink.

I have just booked to go to the Orange hotel for two weeks at the end of November. I found the holiday on line and got it price-matched in our local First Choice shop. I know lots of people think it is much cheaper DIY but I feel happier booking through Thomsons and in any case it was cheaper than Travel Republic or Sunshine holidays.
We were in Benidorm about the same dates last year and had lovely weather so I am hoping it will be as good.
