Hi, hoping someone on her can help please?
My husband has surprised me by booking 7 days to the Hotel Solana in January for my 40th birthday today. We're first time skiers and I usually book all our holidays with help from this wonderful site. However he has only used a local travel agent and when I came to look at some reviews on-line have been quite horrified at what I've found. 'Needs to be condemned' was one of the more popular opinions!
I can't find any reviews on this site though and wondered if anyone has been and can give some information to us. He is thinking of going back to the travel agent and trying to change hotels but I suppose we would incur a large arrangement fee in doing this.
Any help would be gratefully received as it has really marred this pressie for us both.
Forgot to add- you may be pleasantly surprised at the fee the travel agent charges. You are not cancelling, just wanting a change of hotel. Its worth a go.
We are having to cancel unfortunately and lose the £250 deposit hubby paid. He now needs a hernia operation which we've been told will probably be in Dec/Jan and also my mum has found out she is to have a new knee and her mobility is getting poorer so will be unable to have the 4 children.
Oh well the thought was there. I've decided to use the rest of the money he'd saved for the skiing trip to put towards next years family holiday and are taking the kids to Lykia World in Turkey which has great reviews and is more than we would usually spend.
