Had our week at Maspalomas Princess and it was wonderful! No worries, just a lovely, relaxing week - great food, great surroundings & facilities and we met some lovely people, too! Reps very helpful, and airport check-in really good. Anyone going there is onto a winner! Would love to return in the near future. Husband said it was the best holiday he has had (not having our boys with us did make a bit of a difference, too!)
So, go and enjoy....
Can anybody let me have the email address of the masopalomas or the tabaiba princess hotel in Gran Canaria
reservas.maspalomas-tabaiba@princess-hotels.com
has anyone stayed here this summer? we have 16 year old and 12 year old boys would this be suitable for them. the 16 year old is the problem really too young to leave at home but does'nt want to go. are there plenty of teenagers around (he is a typical one if you know what i mean) and whats the entertainment like during the day any info would be welcome or any other recommendations
many thanks
I know for a fact that there is a large group of teenagers that are always 'recruiting' for new people to 'hang round' with them. so he could join with them.
They just do the ususal, hang around... etc, but hey! it's entertainment for them none-the-less.
There are things for them to do, such as sports and tennis. the pools and that are plentiful, and if you really are desperate. there are computers.
Good luck!
thanks kate you've put my mind at rest is it a nice place to stay and whats the food like
when you are there you feel really comfortable and at home (well, i did anyway!)
good luck
Kate

There are a few reviews here
yes, sunbeds are always there, and they give you a beach towel each, then you can hire more if necessary.
thanks kate just read afew crap reviews about hotel rooms not being cleaned regularly and furniture a bit old and shabby. have read reviews on this site but have read some on other sites also and not all positive. cleanliness is my main concern abit funny about stuff like that you know. probably worrying over nothing but afew have said that recently standards have slipped. will be back on 7th aug so will write a review. in the meantime any info welcome.
i dont know where the people that have been leaving "dirty" reviews have been i've always thought that the hotel is particularly clean. and the rooms have always been clean and up to a high standard......
I'd be very surprised if the hotel has changed all that much... I've had four absolutely fantastic holidays there in the last four years - 3 times in Tabaiba side, once in Maspalomas side - and every room I've had has been spotless and well maintained (I particularly liked the last one - especially the huuuuuuuge king-size bed it had in it!)
The public areas of the hotel were always beautifully clean as well whilst I was there - I'm sure you'll have a fantastic holiday, but I'll be very interested to read your review nevertheless.

hi kate i only have this one reservas.maspalomas-tabaibaprincess-hotels.com
thanks! i'll try it!!
We are considering booking a holiday to the Maspalomas Tabaiba Princess in August this year.
I have a few questions. If anyone can answer them I would be really grateful.
How far is the hotel from the airport and how much can I expect to pay for a taxi?
We normally stay all inclusive, but I can only find this hotel on a half board basis. Can you deal directly with the hotel and upgrade to all inclusive? What are the hotel prices like for drinks?
We are travelling with two thirteen year olds and an eleven year old. Will there be enough for them to do?
Thanks in advance.
Carolyn
I am going there in a week's time.
So...
Taxis, from the airport cost me just under £40, and it takes 20 mins to get to the hotel.
You can go full board. if you contact the hotel, you can make a reservation as full board, and you will be staying in the tabaiba side of the hotel. If you're serious, just ask me, and i will PM you the email adress for bookings/reservations.
Drinks cost around 2 euros for a coke, 2,50 for a beer, and about 5 euros for a spirit and soft drink in the bars, and restaurant.
For your 11 & 13 year olds. there's an entertainment programme running from 11am-4pm doing various activities, and then evening entertainment from 8pm-12. not everyone's cup of tea, but great if you've got kids.
Anything else?
