Hi,
I know there are several posts about Visas for Egypt but I cannot find the answer to this anywhere.
I am flying out to Sharm-El-Sheikh on Thursday 14th Jan and am looking at staying for a month and am getting my Visa at the airport. However, I have heard from some people that the visa's you get in the airport and pay the £15 for only last for 14days but then I have heard from other people that they last for one month (or 28days).
I have been to Sharm twice this year but both times I didn't get a visa so am unsure about it.
Please could somebody help me with this.
Also, where do I go once I get to the airport to get my Visa??
Thankyou.
Julie.
The (free) tourist stamp lasts 14 nights - I'm not sure if you can get a full Visa on arrival (a single entry tourist visa would last for a month). However, a fudge I've heard of is to take a trip to eg Israel (Eilat or Jerusalem) or to Jordan. Your stamp is cancelled on departure and you can get another 14 days on the way back - or so I'm told...
Thankyou, I think its the Single Entry Visa that I've been advised to get but was unsure about how long it lasted!
