The problem is that they are required to reply within a given period. If they send you a letter within that time saying it is being investigated then the clock starts all over again.

Going from memory they have to reply within 28 days but the letter acknowledging your complaint is the usual ploy.

From previous posts here on HT you will be several months waiting with no guarantee of a satisfactory conclusion.
