Always had a fab time
Le Saphir
Flora Park
We are planning on going back very soon(end of September-ish) to meet up with some friends we met there, and we cant wait as we love Tunisia.
three so far - Le Saphir, Dar Khayyam and Houda Beach. May well be going back in September.
4th time for us , all at the Marhaba Club , Sousse .
My partner ans myself are going out to PEK in Sept, will be our seventh time in Tunisia since Sept 2003. The first time we went we stayed in El Hana Palace in PEK and went down to the desert in a four day 4x4 safari.
We fell in love with the country especially after having seen the desert and sights of the South. We also loved El Hana Palace hotel and keep going back there as the people are lovely and it suits us down to the ground.
Cheers

1972 El Boustan, Hammamet
1974 El Hana, Soussse (El Hana Beach was just being built next to it and there were very few hotels around!)
2002 Hannibal Palace, PEK
2003 Royal Miramar Thalassa, Skanes
2004 Sol Azur, Hammamet (couple of days in Royal Azur 'cos of overbooking)
Have experienced Tunisia both as a teenager and a parent with teenagers and have always loved it. Have been taking sneaky looks for late deals this August!
Caro
Went Aug and Nov 2003. June and Aug 2004. Jan and Apr 2005 and returned from my 7th visit yesterday!! Fell in love with the country (and my fiance!) during my first visit in Aug 2003. My friend got married there last week - fab!! Can't wait for my turn !!
Great Country, Great People, Great Culture, Great Food & Great Holidays!
My first trip was in 1973, and I'm planning my 8th for September.
I've been out twice a year for the past five years, the last time in April this year and will probably go back October/November. The first time was for a week during the February half term at the El Hana Residence in Sousse. I've stayed there a couple of times, also the Marhaba and Marhaba Club, as well as the Soviva and Golf Residence in PEK. I've been out to Matmata with Tunisian friends and stayed in a hotel there and also taken an appartment in Sousse a couple of times. I've even spent a few days at the Sousse Residence which is mainly full of Scandinavians. As you probably gather, I'm rather partial to the place.
Would I expose myself to abuse if I said that after several visits over the years, we now spend 6 months in Tunisia every winter - having decided to take early retirement and be poor but FREE!
No, not abuse - just deep deep envy.
Your time will come Aslemma ------------------------
Off to get my lottery ticket - I can but dream. There was a programme on TV a little while ago on property in Tunisia.
I saw that Aslemma, but despite loving tunisia and having many very good Tunisian friends over there, I can't leave England. As the time nears to pack for home, I think of what I'm returning to. Dust, hundreds of letters, dirty windows, good friends, our little house and our beautiful Spring --- and then I'm homesick. Guess that we have the best of both worlds.
I'm with you there Jenny. I couldn't really leave the family. However, with a good lottery win I wouldn't mind giving it a go as I could afford to fly back to the UK frequently - the flights are short enough, but unfortunately not particularly cheap.
14th march 04 2wk Soviva hotel all inclusive brill room and entertainment.
16th may 04 2 wk soviva hotel half board same room diffrent cleaner so dirty most of entertainment staff changed so that was not too good.
18th july 04 2 wk tunisian friend got us apartment 150.00 that holl was good.
6th October 04 kinza hotel hammamet all inc nice hotel great food very quiet area
26th dec 04 1 month Golf residence nice clean hotel made loads more friends not much entertainment in winter months but weather ok for december chilly at nights.
15th june 05 2 weeks Golf residence again back to see all friends.
ive found thomson flights to be cheapest and use medhotels.com for hotels they do transfers to 3.00 per person each way to PEK or Hammamet a little more time spent on coach than in private taxi but miles cheaper.
Jenny lucky you going for 6 months at a time, we hope to move back out their in the near future but it just depends on when we can get a business up and running got the land so we just need the cash to start building...................dreaming of a lottery win aswell lol
I wish you the best of luck jguicha. However, if your husband is a Moslem I hope the lottery win will be in your name, because their religion forbids gambling. Do you remember many years ago one of the first big lottery winners was a Moslem and it caused no end of ructions?
Hi jquicha, as Aslemma says, it would not be good if your husband was a muslim and won the lottery. Now, if you'd like to put any winnings in my name, just send me a private message and I'll arrange it all for you on receipt of the cheque!!!
Hi Jenny, Are you sure you aren't my long lost sister It is amazing how our minds run along similar lines - I was going to make the same offer
