Hello a friend is moving to Tenerife for 3 months and would like to access his pc on a daily basis.
We are unsure about how to start the process of finding a cheap internet provider (heard that it is very difficult to get a phoneline), establishing a connection or if a phone line is impossible and expensive to have, then to maybe go for radio connection
Would be grateful for any help

Telefonica are the only land line provider on the Island. They also do ADSL. there is currently an advert on Oasis FM & Power FM English speaking radio stations here for Wireless radio ADSL. it doesn't say which areas they cover and has only been advertised recently. You can get both Oasis FM & Power FM on the internet. Have a listen.
As your friend is only going for 3 months I would suggest he/she use a dial up connection ok I know it will be slower that ADSL but with a lot of companys if you sign up for ADSL you sign for a 1 year contract and why pay for a year when you are only there 3 months.
Tekefonica do a dial up but not sure of the price or what about and internet cafe as it is such a short time.
