Evening all,
Me and the wife are looking for a nice holiday in June, and Ibiza is looking promising.
We're looking for something that's nice, smart and comfortable where we have the option of the beach and nice restaurants and bars, and also the opportunity to go to some of the more loud and 'exciting' parts of Ibiza (hey, we're from Brighton - you know what we enjoy!)
Our concern is though that it will be full of lager swilling 'england but hot' loutish behaviour (I'm trying to not sound too much of snob here!) Is there such a place in Ibiza or is it all:
1) High cost spas where there is bugger all to do or
2) Low end 'all day English breakfasts', shouting, and generally lager filled "yooufs"
Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Santa Eulalia is a very nice place, not seen any 'lager louts' when i've been there - except me
Great choice of bars/restaurants/beaches & bus/taxi/boat services to anywhere on the island, hope you enjoy your holiday wherever you go on this beautiful island

you could try cala longa .nice and quite .use it as a base.
Santa Eulalia would suit you fine.Ibiza Town is a 20 minute taxi ride or a bit longer on the bus. Santa E is a smart upmarket resort with bars,cafes and resturarants.
One thing I always tell people about Santa E is not to go if you like to spend your nights in the karaoke/bingo/ect type of bar as there aren't that many of them.Es Cana 5 minutes up the road has a few of these if you want a change of scenery though.

I have to concur, Santa Eulalia is the place. No yobs, not too many British pubs, two clean beaches in town and more either side plus a great selection of restaurants from all over the world and easy access to all the clubs if you want but nothing in your face.
And for the best house music and killer cocktails there's Liquido Bar in the marina.

me and my hub are of to santa eulalia in august to escape from kids for a week

My wife and I go to Cala LLonga most May's and September's. It is clean and quiet and a very good base for popping into Santa Eulalia & touring the Island. In fact we off again on the 17th.

can i buck the trend and say talamanca. a great beach with good bars and restaurants on it, close to swish marina botafoch and a water taxi ride to ibiza town. talamanca = brighton, santa eulalia = eastbourne.
