Wow!!
just compared that picture to one i took mid august in 2007 , & what a difference!. That must be a huge change for you jim, gone from boiling to freezing im guessing?. Parents live in Paralimni & they said Monday it was like a summers day there, but then Tuesday it was pouring down all day, but it was warm rain so not that bad.

Just reading the Cyprus mail on here as usual every day,
says weather for Paphos today is Min 5 , Max 9. when here at the moment in the U.K its 4!!
still not quite warm enough for the swimming pools yet then , Soon im hoping! :D

This picture from Jim's website, taken a few years ago in the same area shows what it can be like, and not just in the mountains. Tsada is only about 4 miles north of Paphos. (Pafos if you like, Jim. )

As far as I am aware all of Cyprus had a very cold snap on Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, daytime temperatures just about managed +2 Ice remained on many roads for a few daylight hours, Thursday has seen a change back to sun and clear condition, but it certainly is not warm or even mild, this cold weather has come from the north over Turkey and as far as I am aware all of Cyprus has had cold weather, Pafos is no exception, I am sure on the Troodos skiing is excellent...but the old saying you can ski in the morning and swim in the sea in the afternoon won't wash this week...by the way Cyprus still needs many weeks of heavy rain, but no sign of this happening..

Its warming up a bit in the coming week.

I've been keeping an eye on the weather as i'm flying over tomorrow morning for a week.

Its been as low as the 40's in the last week in Eatern Cyprus but is going up to the 60's for the next week.

Not as warm as i'm used to there but still 20 degrees higher than Cardiff. The nights are cold though so first time I will have ever needed a jacket in Cyprus.

Jim, Cant you shovel up the snow and deposit into the dams, as it seems its not been wet enough even with the cold weather.

No snow, in fact I have been on the sunbed this morning in our garden, still cool'ish though..if we don't get weeks of heavy rain this winter (unlikely) we will have a very serious situation this coming summer..
