Booked our holiday last August for this August, paid a deposit and have to pay the balance sometime in June. Problem is, as I'm sure is the same with lots of people, I feel sick everytime I know we can no longer really afford to pay so much for the holiday. It is £4500 for the 6 of us, 2 wks AI, and I really would love to go (luckily haven't told them all i've booked it yet) but need to really put some thought into it. Had planned to use some investment to help cover the cost but this is now nearly worthless
I was going to ring Thomson and check their cancellation charges, looked in the brochure and from what I could see, the charges occur from 56 days before departure, just wondered if anyone knows anything different to this?
Realise I would lose the deposit, but as we still have over 6 months before we are due to go, would we have to pay out anything else?
One day I think no, we deserve a holiday so we're going to go
then I think no we can't put ourselves in debt!
Glad it would be just the deposit. I thought about having another look to see if I could find something a little less exp, thing is we like AI as it gives us a break from the kids asking for food and drink all the time
)or I lose mine. It seems irresponsible to spend 6K on a holiday.
we are flexible on the dates, anytime from the end of the first week of the school holidays and would prefer to be home a few days before they go back to school. Reason we went for Majorca is the kids don't like being on the plane too long and we find 2 1/2 hrs is ideal (did Rhodes and it was too long
