Hi, we have stayed in this hotel twice and had a great time on each stay, check out the website http://www.imperialhotelmalta.com the staff are very attentive, the hotel is spotlessly clean, and it is in an excellent part of Sliema for getting around, please ask me if you need to know any more info about the hotel or the area in general.

Thanks for answering Sliema2

Its nice to know someones been there as I can't find any reviews on this hotel anywhere. Just a couple of questions, is the pool a nice size and is the hotel suitable for my two boys.

Hi, yes as far as we are concerned the pool is a nice size if you check out the website you will see a virtual tour of the hotel which includes the pool, but as I don't know your children I wouldn't really know if it is suitable for them or not, so could you expand a little on what you mean ?.

Hello Sliema2, thanks for replying
The oldest boy isn't really into kids clubs, whereas the younger is more sociable but both like to spend a lot of time in the pool, which is why we don't really want a big hotel with thousands of other guests, but something more personal where we think that you are better looked after. I understand that they have a games room which is great. As long as the pool isn't too small it looks and sounds a great place to holiday.

Hi, the Imperial is certainly a more sedate kind of hotel that most certainly does not have thousands of other guests staying in it, if anything it is fairly peacefull place that attracts a more mature kind of visitor and is most deffinitely not an 18-30's kind of place, please ask if you need to know more about the hotel or the area in general, I can reccomend some pretty good local places to eat out if you are interested, and also good local bars but as you will have 2 children with you I guees this won't be an issue.

Thanks very much Sliema2,
An 18-30's holiday just isn't our scene, this hotel seems just our cup of tea, as long as its clean and friendly we should be sorted, a couple of places to eat would be great, but as you guessed, even though the husband does enjoy a pint, the bars wouldn't really matter that much, once again, thanks.

Hello, I have had a look on the hotel reviews for this hotel but no one has ever been or put up a review has any body been here lately who can tell me what it is like, I have been by it so I know were it is, but I need to know what the food is like on the H/B and what the bedroom comfort is like. It looks to have a nice pool area but are the staff alright, your help is needed.

Hi Dave, we have stayed here twice and found it to be more than adequate mate, the staff are very friendly, it is as the name suggests a quite old hotel built in the late 1800's it certainly has a certain elegance and charm about it, the breakfast is the same as any continental breakfast with the option of a nice full cooked if desired, last time we were there it was my birthday and Mrs Sliema2 had mentioned this in reception and low and behold I got cooked breakfast in bed and a birthday card signed by all the staff, the rooms are slightly dated but comfortable, airy, big and clean with everything you need, it is in an excellent position aswell, and as you like history this hotel was one of the first if not the first to be hit by Italian bombers in WW2, and before anyone say's it yes it has all been repaired, ask me anything specific that you may need to know and I will do my best to help you Dave.

Ciao 4 now

Hello Pippa, yes the Coastline is a nice hotel we went there last new year after you recommended it to us last summer on this review, we found it was just a bit out of the way and did not like Bugibba much so thanks but not this time.
Hi Sliema2, well don't know what to do. Pippy gave me another review site to have a look at and its reports make it look like the sort of place to give a miss, we do like another hotel in Sliema that we have been to before so it may well be that we try the devil you know.
What we are thinking of doing this year is going flexidine say 7 nights H/B and 7 nights eating out, so your help on some good resaurants in the Sleima area would come in handy.
Adeus Obrigada
Dave

P S thats a Portuguese Ciao :hmmm
