I will still take the easiest option and walk to the post office and , if like last time, get my passports back within the week !

Best option for me also.
If I take the wife to Edinburgh - she would drag me round the shops and then expect me to buy an expensive lunch at "The Dome" or "The Witchery."
Taking them to the post office is by far the best option but no worries about the wife dragging you around Edinburgh shopping - VFS global web site now states that all applications previously sent to Birmingham and Edinburgh will now be posted and processed through the Hayes Middlesex VFS global site.
I'm just a little worried about the extended time this will obviously take with all the extra applications from two extra offices they will have to deal with. Just hope they get themselves organised and set up for the September/October/November rush that they are obviously going to experience.
They could solve the problem by offering a longer VISA than 6 months !
Dave you are so right
But will anybody want one next year?
i will defo
add me to that list as well!!!!
I am getting worried about applying for Visas again. Why do they have to keep changing it. Everything seem to be quite straightforward last year - once you got the hang of it - so I thought it would be easy this year.
Yes the visa center is open in Splott Cardiff. Thinking of just calling in to see them as they according to India Mike are only having 2 - 5 people a day. Want to ask the possibility of the five year visa, which some bod on India Mike claims to have had from Birmingham in October. Even leaving the country every 180 days would save the messing around every year. If only they would stamp the visa on entry. Then you could have the whole 180 days if needed.
Off to Goa on 22nd November, first timers, can anyone advice me as to when I/we should apply for a visa, there are 4 adults going, and is it possible for 1 person to apply for all 4 visas.
Hiya Preacher..It would be best if you sent for them say early oct that gives them plenty of time to come back with out any worries and then its plain sailing...Yes one person can apply for all visa's so long as you have filled in the online visa forms in correctly..You will need to send 2 SAE envelopes as they will only put 2 passports in 1 envelope return... BEST OF LUCK..
Thanks for your speedy reply, I will apply late Sept. to be on the safe side.
Many Thanks
The Preacher.
good news that high commision has recognised Wales at last, but oh no cardiff again, that is still 5 hours for us who live in the north, why do they not think of places like aberystwyth, giving everyone in wales an equal opportunity last year i filled in on line and paid visas were back in 3 days, best ever ,Twm really interested if you find out about 5 year visas, also i agree that life would be so much better if visas wre stamped,on way in becouse you are always left with having to send for visas early and be sure to get them but losing out on your actual time limit or waiting till closer a risking it ,no matter what date you put on your application it always starts from the day it lands on the guys desk in india house,so six months is never six months
