Hi G. E. L

They have started doing some building work there, new entrance walls etc so it should not be long now, do you ever go to Mackie's ?

Was told by one of the sellers "Old Ingo's" will be open this saturday she has been allowed to start preparing her spot. dont think its going to be like Ingo's from what sarah said it just appears to be sellers rather than music etc, but we shall see may be a new saturday night experience or not :rofl

we drove all the way up to Ingo's and sadly NO not on, the place was dead nothing there!!! :( we guessed halfway as there was no traffic but thought it might just be quiet!! still not to worry we had a lovely meal with a Goan and Kashmiri friend in Nerul, loads and only 730 rps!!!! ( not sure what the rate is but on 80 thats about what??? .... £9?? or thereabouts... ) for the 4 of us!!!! and we had loads!! 1 kingfish masala,1 kingfish rava fried, chicken sukka (we shared as a starter as was huge) prawn curry (nice big prawns) and rice ..2 fish plates inc rice ... and bottle of water and 2 large and 4 small beers, ooh not to forget the tamarind sauce, its a great little local place they are always generous portions and cheap, no ambience though but we dont worry about that hehe make our own ....... but we went in their car and left our bike at their place and guess what they ran out of petrol on the way home!!! 'what to do' lol so they phoned a taxi driver friend and he came down in his car and our friend went off while we all stood by the side of the dark unlit snake ridden road (no doubt!!!! :really ) and he bought two lemonade bottles of petrol...from the healthfood store ............... dont you just love India!!!

I have found this link to the Ingos market website, theres a few videos of the market that are also available on a well known site.

I have just registered and then had a good look through the archives at old posters adverising the market through the years

http://www.ingosbazaar.com/index.php/

Hopefully it will keep you all going until you can visit in person

Hi Dragon07 the blue wristband was from HT but they dont do them anymore, it has Holiday truths written on it and we can wear them so other members can identify you!! but as Adele says any blue wristband would do Irishcolleen says they sell them in pets shops :rofl

Mackie's market has been put back to the 28th November and as far as i am aware ingo's will be moving and Clive is opening the market on the same site but will probably change the name of it. So we could start a guessing thread name that market. :rofl

The old Ingo's site is called wait for it "The Saturday night Market" as Mike said Mackies is not opening until 28th all the goings on over there in the last dew days was for a film crew yesterday some of the stools were set up for filming purposes but from 5am to 9 pm there was chaos, must have been some sort of well known actors as the local young folk were talking photos etc, personally havent got a clue who it was and there was a bus load of russians as extras!!!!!
