Ok from the title of this post it might sound a bit sad that i'd need an internet connection whilst on holiday in the maldives (im sure working whilst there would be frowned upon) , but bear with me on the explanation.

I've asked a few people that I know where my wife and I should go on Holiday in November and many recommended the Maldives which would be perfect as that is where we had planned to take our honeymoon 5 years ago but because of work comittments we've never got around to taking the honeymoon.

The problem is that both of us set up business together in internet retail and are self employed with just two members of staff in the office, so where ever we went on holiday we would need fast access to the internet (ADSL) so that I could continue to keep an eye on the business and respond to any problems or enquires that may occur (and inevitably will).

I looked around the internet at various resorts in the Maldvies and some say that they have internet access but when I contact them it seems that it's only dialup access (normal modem) not a high speed connection.

Does anyone know of any resorts in the Maldives that do have a hi speed internet access availble for guests to use (either in the villas/rooms or at a reception or shop)??

The destination of our honeymoon really will rest on if we can get a decent internet connection as there is no way we could be out of touch for 2 weeks from the office (the cons of being self employed)

If not the Maldives can anyone suggest anywhere similair that would suit our purposes?
