Dose anybody know of an internet service providor in France that does a pay as you go/use service very much like gonuts4free does in Spain.
My friend who has bought a house there does not want ADSL at this stage he only want's to use it via a modem when he is there.
Any suggestion would be greatful.

Tiscali offer a service in France. My sister who lives there uses em. Dont know if they offer broadband pay as you go though. My sister uses PAYG on 56k modem.
I don't think the French do a lot of pay-as-you-go .... but important ISPs include wanadoo (France Telecom), libertysurf, free, and some local communes (like mine) provide a cable service. Sorry not to have more precise information but all the above will be more than happy to try to sell you their services!
