Hello.
Every year for as long as we can remember we have visited Ireland at Easter for two weeks in a self catering cottage through Irish Ferries. The cottages are great value for money and very good quality. However, this year we have been informed that there will be a 70 euros per week charge for oil plus a charge for electricity on top of that levied by the letting agents!
We are accustomed to fuel charges from previous holidays but feel that this charge is excessive especially as the web site says that the cottages have electric central heating only.
Irish Ferries have advised us that these are standard charges that are not negotiable.
Anyone else had a similiar experiences

We went to co Mayo at February half term and paid by meter for the electricity.
Everything else was included in the price.We had the cental heating on non stop ( my sister in law feels the cold) even though it was not that cold and it only used about 10 euros, that was for 5 days water and heating.
70 euros sounds very excessive.
