When?
Don't know about Sharm but I'm just back in Cairo and I have the heating switched on at night and in morning.
but after a couple of nights you will aclimatise and it will feel chilly at nights but a thin or microfibre fleece is all you shold need
Oh and don't switch the AirCon on
just the heat but aonly have the fan on LOW
This picture was taken in Nuweiba on 28th December 2004
were going from dec 4th till dec 11th
Yes, i would recommend taking a few things for the evening, as others have said it does cool off especially at night, and often a bit windy.
so is it warm enough to go into the pool and sunbathe? in december
The sea stays moderate all year round. If the pool is unheated it may be chilly but should be warm enough afternoons if not too deep.
We went on exactly the same dates in December last year and I came back with a good tan after sunbathing every day. The pool was too cold for my liking but there were others that managed it. At night I would agree that a long sleeved top/jacket is enough to keep warm. When we went on some of the day trips i.e. Ras Mohammed and Coloured Canyon I found it very warm if there wasn't any shade about so it's definitely not cold.
What about Luxor in say February, do you reckon its warmer there in the evenings?
Went to Luxor in february 2002, Elle, the weather was fabulous!
but i think the sea is warmer in Sinai !
What's the temperature today ?
What temps to expect in October please?
It was, for me, the best weather i've ever experienced in Egypt, came back absolutely black! Funnily enough though we saw our first ever rain in Egypt on that occasion. It lasted all of an hour! I found August this year to be so hot it was almost uncomfortable whereas that october was very hot but bearable.
