You're not alone, I can't find it either!!
I've looked for all dates and all the airports for Dec 07 & Jan 08 and I just can't seem to see it either. It's still available with Thomson but have drawn a blank with Thomas Cook.
Cheers

Ive just checked Jan 08 also, and as you say definitely not available, wondering if they are withdrawing it from their brochure? going into Thomas Cook tomorrow so will let you know what they say.
I concur - definitely there last week.
If you get the chance do a quick search online for dates in Nov, Jan or Feb and MD is not there!!!
Going into Thomas Cook today so will find out more and let you know.
Try Portland holidays they have it for the 1st of december for 590 for two weeks in the MD from birmingham
Hi Nicnei yes ive seen that holiday on Portland, thanks. Gee Dubya told me to check them out last week. We are looking for the Saturday before, 24th Nov, but might have to opt for 1 December if nothing else available. Well it is available with Thomsons, but they are very expensive. Also not so easy to get a cheap flight from Glasgow to Birmingham, but getting one to Gatwick or Manchester is no problem. Thanks again.
Thomas Cook have confirmed they are still selling holidays for the Marinha Dourada but are now almost fully booked from 4th November 2007 right thru til first week in February 2008. So thats why it isnt showing on the dates I am checking!
Can get a Thomas Cook holiday to Marinha Dourada for anytime after 10 February from Manchester or Gatwick, with quite good prices. However, can anyone tell me when Thomas Cook reduced the luggage allowance to 15kgs per person as there booking form online states 15 kgs per person and an extra £20 per person for an extra 5 kgs each rip off merchants!!!!!!
15kgs ,as its only for 2weeks we are not paying the extra
£20 each but making sure we have the 5kgs in our hand luggage
as you say a right rip off
ann
To be honest I wouldnt pay for the 'extra' allowance as its a con but I would still take 20kgs with me. Monarchs webpage clearly states it is 20kgs hold baggage per person and up to 10kgs hand baggage. Is this a new thing with Thomas Cook? I only noticed it last night when checking dates to book for next season. I, for one have never ticked the box for the 'extra' 5kgs and have always taken 20 kgs and will continue to do so.
We went with Thomas Cook in December and our tickets stated 15kgs as well- but when we checked in the agent said she didn't know why it said that cos their allowance is 20kgs
I am going to ring Monarch later to check. Gemma do you want to come to check in with me? You seem braver than me.
Polly, why dont I just come with you, would make it easier Only thing is you need to come home and I would have another 2 weeks at Baga Beach
sorry (running to hide now!!!)
First Choice have also dropped there luggage allowance to 15kg, fortunately we booked our holiday last July so we have got 20kg and clearly states it on our tickets. It's just another way of extracting money from us IMO.
We are also travelling by First Choice to Goa in April, but the holiday was booked last May.
I am going to have to check my booking for November. I didn't notice what the luggage allowance was, just assumed it would be 20kgs. I agree with you Gemma they have such a nerve. Guess this might be the beginning of the end for packages as more and more people book their own flights and find accommodation. Serves them right.
Hi all, i was talking to a mate of mine at the M/Dourada last week who has booked for next year, and he said he had to pay Thomsons an extra £20 so he could take 20kg instead of 15kg. One of the other guests told him he had been in touch with the airline company he was flying with next year(i think it was Monarch flying from Gatwick) and they were unaware of the increase as their allowance was 20kg.Maybe it's just travel agents trying to get an extra few quid, so it may be worth your while to contact your airline company yourself and see what they say. Just checked the First Choice website and the way they are doing it is by saying if you wish to reduce your baggage allowance to 15kg they will reduce the holiday price by £20 per person, so they have already charged you the extra, a bit of a back door way of doing it and making you think they are doing you a favour.
Just checked paperwork for our booking to Goa in November with First Choice. There is no information at all about luggage allowance! Will wait and see.
