As we have had several problems regarding our recent booked cruise we have now been told that ticket collection may be at the airport.
This is not a last minute booking but tickets have been sent to a company no longer trading, which should have been sent on to us
Will I be able to travel to airport in confidence knowing my tickets will be there?
You'll have no problem. My holiday to Mexico last year was booked 14 months in advance and I still had to get my tickets at gatwick.
They have a huge box of tickets for collection by lead passenger name - even if they aren't there with a push of a button they can print them off for you in about 30 seconds. Don't worry - it will be fine.

So why did you have to collect from airport when you had booked it so far in advance?
Just because airtours are so shambolic they didn't bother to send the tickets out !

No, all the major tour operators have service desks at the airport - go to your one, pick up your tickets and then proceed to the normal check in desks.
FYI - re Airtours. No we will never book a holiday with them again. We spent £6.5k with them last year and after the way they handled us and others after the Tsunami and the evacuation we will never give them another penny of our money again.

That is disgusting when you spent more than the average holiday costs.

came back from cruise last week, we had to collect tickets at the airport.
just go to tour operators desk at departures,(clearly signposted) theyll ask lead name on booking and have your tickets ready! they hand them over and you join the checkin queue as normal-easy!!!!
(they didnt even ask for our booking ref, just our name!!!)
check all details on ticket is correct, eg spellings, accommodation details and flight meal showing if paid for, oh and of coures return flight info!!
have a good time!!

Oh also forgot to say what usually happens is that with your tickets you usually get luggage labels from the tour operator. So if you pick tickets up from airport, I take it you buy your own labels

Yeah i had this problem befroe but when i got to the airport there was no problem at all.

......I hope that security arrangements have been tightened up since we collected our tickets at Manchester airport, last year.....there was nobody at the airlines desk.....but there was a big pile of tickets on the desk - could have easily reached over and taken the lot !.....and when someone eventually came, we were only asked our name before being given the ticket...no proof asked for at all.....
