Bar prices roughly 4 or 5 tl for a large beer; 5 or 6 tl for glass of wine and anything from 5tl to 10tl for gin and tonic. Soft drinks around 2.5 tl. Cocktails around 8 - 15 lira depending on what you have and where you have it. Unfortunately they dont sell honeybee brandy !
Best restaurants in my opinion definitely the ones where the locals eat - Cagri, hadigari. Very Turkish, fab fresh food and cheaper than the tourist restaurants. Of the more touristy restaurants I like four seasons and gecit which have varied menus and the food is good. Not quite as cheap as Goa though ! There are also a couple of places on the main street do excellent chicken wraps for around 4 or 5 tl. Never had a bad meal in Dalyan and the food is reasonaly priced and theres a lot of it.
Hot springs and mud baths worth a visit though quite smelly....you get there by boat. You can go with the boat cooperation or private charter a boat for the day and your captain will take you there. Boats are running to the beach, lake and mud baths frequently throughout the day. Cant tell you the cost of the mud baths though.
As for things to do. Never really left Dalyan as always had plenty to do there. The ruins at caunos, turkish bath, boats to the beach, boat trips to swim in the lake and see the turtles, moonlight boat trips with BBQ..... I could go on.

Hi Solobrummy - I went to Dalyan a few years back and loved it! It really is a cute place but one BIG warning - mossies. Supermossies! I went in October so might be different in July - but I suggest you find out because wherever you go in Dalyan, water is never far away so do watch out for them in the evenings... The locals reckon that only the local juice works on repelling these mossies and they seem to think its hilarious but the pharmacists are really helpful and I also bought a brilliant afterbite cream out there that I've not been able to replace from anywhere else.

The mud baths are a total laugh. Really brilliant fun. I was travelling independently so didn't book with a tour operator although they all go there - but if you go to the river in the town centre, all the boats are lined up offering their own trips to various places. The baths are not far and you get to go across the lake which is stunning in itself. Caunos is amazing - again, you can get there via a boat tour or take Rough Guide with you and make your own way. It tells you where to find the little old lady who can row you across.

Do go to the local Itsuzu (turtle) beach. Find out where the dolmus picks up - I think it's by the town hall. Its the local 'mini-bus' company run by Dalyan residents. You just get on the dolmus and they wait until it's full then they drive you to the beach. Same deal coming back. Cheap return ticket (one or two euros). It's a great ride with fab views and really beautiful when you get there. You can walk for miles along the sand by the water or climb up into the little surrounding hills. Its very pretty and the water is lovely.

I imagine it will be quite packed and very hot in July. Oh - there were a number of electricity cuts when I was there - take a torch! As the previous person said, you'd best look at the Dalyan thread really but I just couldn't resist responding since I liked the little place so much. Have a wonderful time x

dalyan is enchanting,i have visited most of the main turkish resorts and dalyan is high up on the list,it still manages to keep its charm and hasnt been lost to mass tourism while still having a wide range of things to do,see, eat, drink etc etc.The locals are friendly without being intrusive and hassle is very low key.I hope dalyan keeps it charm for years to come and i for one will definatley return.enjoy!!!
