In the meantime, I think it is down to the "hardcore" - you know who you are, to keep things ticking over

Now that's one statement I agree with ;)

What you really mean Ady, is us Sad'os, who have to keep the Cyprus 'fix' going any which way we can :sun

Last year and the year before (!) 'us sad 'uns' used our Cypriot Easter Candles as Advent candles as a lead up to Christmas. This year we haven't got one so we will have to return to Pafos 2007 to get one ---- terrible eh!

:yipee

Dunno about you lot but I'm already researching 2008 --------- am a real saddo really!!!!!!!

August here we come -

I'd love to be thinking and talking about Cyprus but at the moment its the countdown to Christmas and wondering if theses seeds I swapped the cow for, are really going to grow a money tree.....

Snap

I keep opening my pay packet and dream that it could buy me a donkey sanctuary in Cyprus ------------

We can all but dream !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just think - once Christmas is over, then you can sit with the brochures again - the holiday adverts hit the screens just after Christmas!

Have a good 'un

Wonder if anyone gets into trouble from their families for being obsessed with hols? I have a stack of brochures beside my bed. and its unheard of for me to put the light out at night without first reading through brochures. Every time I get my hands on the t.v. remote, I am off flicking through all the holiday channels, sometimes annoyed because I have seen them all before. Oh, forgot to mention that when I am reading the brochures in bed, the telly in the bedroom is also on a travel channel. As for H.T., I am on every night of the week, even if I am out very late, this is my fix for the night. I then go through every part of the site, so as far as i'm concerned the sooner the New Year people get back on with their very interesting comments the better. My family think I'm mad. I am obsessed but will not admit that to them :!:

You sound just how i used to be
At one time i was so obsessed with travel brochures, at work they called me Judith and all came to me for help when booking for their holidays. i could nearly tell you every hotel and flights for each tour operator,

I solved the problem, I decided to buy a place now finally binned all the brochures but now I have a room full of developers brochures

So now my TV is tuned into place in the sun and the like , and while I am watching I am looking at photos of our place, plans and developers brochures,

Glad I am not the only one then. Place in the Sun, another favourite of mine too. Don't think I will ever have a place in the sun of my own. Don't know if me and my hubby will be able to afford a hol after we retire, so just have to go back onto holiday competitions, since I have been fortunate enough to win two hols already.

Well, Kath. First time was when Direct holidays were taken over by I think it was Airtours (or was it T. Cooks). Ispotted whilst reading the daily paper that they were giving away 10 holidays a day for 1 week. I rushed to the computer, just had to give my name and address and next night there was my name with 9 others. that holiday was to Tenerife. Next holiday wasjust as easy. Primula cheese in conjunction with Thomsons were giving away a free holiday up to the value of £1,000 for a week. All that was required was a code number from a tube of their cheese. Thomsons gave us the choice of any hol to the value from their brochure, and since we had never been to Kos we went there. Lucky eh :?:
