Yes, they are hopeless Lyn and they slip away from you and you wake up with a hum dinger of a pain in the neck.
I'm quite short from the waist upwards and since the menopause I've actually lost a bit more height, not that I was ever tall in the first place, but it means my head doesn't fit against the moulded headrests incorporated into bog standard aeroplane seats, which means the moulded bit actually shoves my head forward at the wrong position and it "kills" my neck and posture.
Because I'm short, I'm low down in the seat, therefore I have my neck dangling in the "gap" of the design of the seat and then this blinking moulded bit sticking out at the top of my head shoving it forward....I thought these jet sleepers would "pack the gap" if that makes sense....and more importantly, stay in position....although if I bought one, I think I'd buy it in dark blue.
Sanji.....you wouldn't be thinking of taking a long haul flight would you...
Linda, I like a nap when you've had an early start, even going to Spain, but the lad in Australia is working on me...who knows.?

I have a 'Jet Rest' and it is really good. I also have one of those soft pillows called a 'Cushtie' which is also excellent.
(we always used to get four aisle seats) I bought a neck cushion very similar to a wrap around the neck Cushtie
from Home Bargains a few years ago. It only cost £2.99 and it's really good!
The one I have is a black and white supposed to be dog one, which has a dog's head on it.
Because the dogs head sticks up off the cushion it works like an added support for the side of your face/head.
It's really, really comfortable - much, much better than the inflatable neck cushion I used to have.
(As I have arthritis in my neck, I also use it quite a lot at home now too.)
I bought a Hme Bargains one for my sister after she used mine last year, (was still only £2.99) and she loves hers too.
My mum has one, also from Home Bargains, supposedly an elephant (!)
But it doesn't have a raised head on it, like the dog style one and after trying it out, the three of us have all come to
the conclusion that it's not as good or supportive as the dog type one.
Luckily I picked her up another one the same as my sisters and I yesterday at a car boot sale,
brand new, for 50p! Bargain! She's going to be so pleased when I take it down to her later!
(Sanji- I knew it wouldn't take long go for it!)
But my little doggie cushion works wonders for me.
The Jet Sleeper looks really cosy Sanji .
I would say if the neck cushions don't work for you, then go for it.
But I think if I snuggled up to the Jet Sleeper, my lot would have trouble waking me up!
(Shuddering at the thought of the zzzz's I would be giving it!!! )
I'm really interested in this product. The only time I can ever sleep on a plane is when I travel in business class which is very rare these days. I'm dreading my upcoming flight to Bangkok, hours of misery that seem never ending.
Maybe only for the cattle class travellers.?
It reminds me of the traction we applied to patients with neck problems.
I'm getting very tempted to buy one of these jetsleeper 1 ...in blue.
Just a thought, I presume the regulations don't class this "hook" as a dangerous implement.?
http://www.jetsleeper.com/uk/products.html
Unless I'm seeing it wrong, it's "fixed" to the armrest and across your body so I'm quite surprised it's allowed.
Then again, I'm probably looking at it the wrong way.
luci
It's held up by a hook on your seat/headrest and the strap across your body which is attached to the arm rest is velcro......... just pull it apart in minute seconds and leave the whole lot behind.
Click on any picture in the link below and a window opens with a zoomed instructions....it even shows you how to fold it up when you've finished with it.
http://www.jetsleeper.com/uk/faqs.html
If you look closely, you can see that it's actually shaped at the back, like a sort of triangle.....to fill or pack the gap.
It does look comfortable, however, it also looks too much faff for me. I drink a lot of water and coffee on the plane and therefore need to use the toilet quite often. I think that I couldn't be bothered with keep unfastening and refastening the strap. I must admit though the Jet Sleeper 2 looks as though it gives your head and neck good support.
If you keep going to the toilet Sydney...you ain't got time to sleep
I was going to send for one this afternoon, but noticed the payment is by paypal, which I don't use, but if you want to pay by cheque, to contact them, which is what I did.
Since then I've sent and received e.mails from the man who invented/makes these products...I've "doctored" some of the content of the e.mails for obvious reasons, but I'm going to send for one tomorrow in blue....I've nothing to lose except £22 quid and if it works, it will be worth it's weight in gold......if it doesn't work, well, some you win and some you lose, but unless you try it, you will never know.
It's up to you if you want to buy one....only trying to help, don't blame me for anything

Hi Tim
Thanks for your prompt reply.
One question......
Are there any problems with this hook that's used over the headrest.?
The question is asked because of the strict regulations at airports these days and absolutely anything that can be used/classed as a "dangerous weapon" not being allowed through the scanners.
Might sound a stupid question, but best to ask.
Regards
Shirley
Hi Sirley,
The hook is made in a "bendy" nylon and it cannot be used as an offensive weapon as it has no sharp edges.
I have sold about 10,000 Jetsleepers and have never heard of "security" confiscating a Jetsleeper from a passenger, so I hope that this resolves your question.
Your other point is about hooking the jetsleeper over the seat: The hook must be placed at the side of the seat in order to be effective and therefore it will be to the side of the TV screen in the back of the seat.
Regards
Tim
just found them on ebay
I'll have to wait until the 20th December to try it out and will let you know whether it's the best thing since sliced bread or a waste of money.

Hi Lyn
I'm not just saying this because I've sent for one, I like it when Harry Enfield takes the pee out of them.
I can't see them travelling on a 737 like sardines in a tin....
I'll wait and see.
