sheeshon,

The restriction is on exit rows only. Whoever sits there needs to be 16 or over and be physically fit and responcible for opening the door in the unlikely event of an emergency evacuation. Thet's why there are restrictions for those seats. Extra legroom seats that are behind a bulkhead, so there's no emergency exit, can be occupied by anyone.

I'll have a look at the seatplan and try to book those seats then.
Many thanks for all your advice.

We normally fly to Dalaman from Newcastle with either Thomas Cook or Thomson who we prefer but I have found that Jet 2 also use this route.
Is the seat pitch on their planes better than the other two airlines?
Reply
Jay Trip,

They use a Boeing 757-200 from NCL-DLM (LS561/2). Seat pitch is the same as on the other carriers.

well i can now answer my own question to whether the airline (jet 2) will let me fly with just a couple of months left on passport (and not 6).

rang up the premium line number (90p a min : :yikes :yikes ). yes jet 2 will allow you to fly as long as you have a valid passport- which has not yet run out.,and the spanish embassy only requires a passport to be valid for your duration.

they also told me my son could travel to belfast with just a driving licence as photo i.d as his passport runs out in a few weeks-
