Hi RubyRed ... I will leave someone else to advise you about Jet2. But as far as security restrictions are concerned, liquid baby food or sterilised water, sufficient for the journey, can be taken through airport security. The accompanying adult will be required to verify by tasting. More details on hand luggage restrictions and security can be found via the link in my signature below.

Passengers on your booking reference should all be allocated seating together, atlhough it's always best to arrive at the airport in good time and no reason to arrive close to check-in closing. The recommended check-in time is 2 hours before departure.

We've booked with Jet2 for Malaga this Summer from Newcastle. I've just received an offer from them for their Jet2plus for £19.99. It's not worth taking up the offer for outbound as we fly early morning but we thought it might be worthwhile at Malaga for the return flight. Anybody know much about the lounge at Malaga, how soon before your flight are you allowed in for free food & drinks. We thought for £20 it might be worth it considering the price of a pint at the airport, plus it includes a meal on the plane. Anyone tried Jet2 plus?
That's not a bad offer for Malaga, the lounge alone would cost you that if you booked it independantly. You can normally use the lounge from 3 hours before your departure time.
Darren
Some lounges now only offer soft drinks or some just one free drink so it's worth checking and many no smoking at all.
Thanks guys, I think we'll take up the offer as a few people have said it's a bargain if you can have a couple of pints. With the low-cost airlines you always wonder if there's a catch.
I got the same offer but my email wasdeleted by accident, we are off to Lanzarote in March and were going to use the offer, do you still have details of it.
Cheers, Peter
Sorry mate but the offer I received was only valid until 25th January. Try logging in to your booking to see.
Can anyone tell me please. I have just been on the Jet2 website to book return flights from Blackpool to Murcia and I can travel out ok on 26th Sept but there are no flights listed for coming back in October. My question is, are there likely to be any or do Jet2 not fly to and from Blackpool in October anymore. I did travel in October last year.
The flight schedule for Blackpool is currently only listed up until the end of September for Murcia. I don't think October has been released yet as they are under review. Jet2 operate most of their services through the summer out of BLK and limited services to select destinations through the quieter months. You'll have to wait to see if they release any further dates or contact them to enquire about availability in October.
Darren
I had a feeling that might be the case. I will hang on for a couple of months cos to be fair, I didnt book last years flights until May, so I shall monitor the situation for a while. Trouble is, after last year I prefer Blackpool but i will just have to wait and see.
Cheers Linsi
For those interested, Jet2 are to add the Boeing 767-300/ER to their fleet commencing service in May 2010. The aircraft is former PR-VAN of Varig but was originally delivered to Royal Brunei Airlines in 1996 and has served with many airlines in between. The aircraft is currently in heavy maintenance at Abu Dhabi and is expected to be ferried to the UK in April ready for service in May. A second Boeing 767-300/ER is currently under consideration.
Be nice if they put it on the Turkey route.
I am going to do on-line check in. Do I need to provide API in advance or can it be done at the airport? I can't actually see it in the 'Manage my booking' section.
Thanks in advance.
Sunaddict,
Thanks for the speedy answer Darren. Airport it is. Thanks again.
We have booked Jet2 flights from Manchester to Tenerife in June - can anyone tell me if they have inflight movies.
I have flown with them before to Mallorca and there wasnt any entertainment but was hoping with this being a longer flight that there might be.
Fingers crossed!
Carmel
As a low cost airline, they don't offer inflight entertainment. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).
Darren
Jet2 used to trial a sort of 'hand held' movie player for £5 extra, although this didnt really work out so they dropped it.
ive been accepted as crew this year for them, and they were on about possible expansion to destinations further afield so watch this space!
