Thinking of booking this trip for August 2009.
We are family of 4 with 2 teenage boys (16 and 14), is this a suitable trip. Bit concerned about having to book 2 rooms, children are classed as adults now, but still relatively young to be in a room on their own.
Would welcome any feedback of anybody using Jetsave.
We did LA/San Francisco and Las Vegas with Jetsave many years ago and they were fine, but it wasn't an escorted tour.
However my brother and aunt have both done a similar tour to yours with Travelsphere and thought it was great.

I think you need to check with Jetsave that the kids can actually occupy a room on their own. I beleive many States do not permit children under a certain age to be in a room on their own. A guarantee of interconnecting rooms will however get around this.
spoke to jetsave this morning, and apparently from 2009, children from 12-16 can be in room on their own. Not convinced this is the correct information though!! Not sure what the alternativeis though, continually come up against this problem, very few interconnecting rooms available.
I would be surprised if you got 2 rooms at a hotel in Vegas as they have rooms with 2 Queen beds and you can ask for a rollaway.
I suppose I am a bit worried about diy. this will be a holiday of a lifetime and I think I might missing something if not part of an organised tour?
They also went with BA, and was a good flight.
As reguards the rooms, when we went we were told to have a room of your own, you had to be 21 in San Francisco and 18 in other parts of america, so maybe its changed now?
Can't imagine that the would expect 15+ to share a room with their Mom.
