for anyone going to akyaka this year prices havent gone up like a lot of the resorts have, the only difference is the poor exchange rate. we had a fabulous time, there is also a new restuarant opened along the coast past the yulcen hotel called deniz restaurant and the food is wonderful and views fab and the waiter lived in the uk so speaks perfect english ,so anyone going to akyaka try that, we also had good meals in the magician although quiet food excellent with a new chef this year and kazan was good too. we went to marmaris for a few days but were glad to get back to the quiet and beauty of akyaka, the only thing that wasnt good was that this year they havent sprayed the mozzies so we all got loads of bites
, this i was told by a few turks was due to some small animals and birds dying from the mozzie sprays so it was decided not to spray and this is the first time we have had so many bites, apart from this we had a wonderful holiday and as always akyaka is so lovely. we will be going back again next year if i can find any bargain flights. my friends also loved akyaka it was their first visit and they stayed at the okaliptus apts and loved it. it was fairly busy the 1st week the beach was full but the 2nd week was quieter. restaurants along the beach still good value, grilled chicken sandwiches around 3.5 lira, spag bol about 6-8 lira, pizza 6 lira and efes around 3.5-4 lira, chicken casseroles which we loved were 9 lirahttp://www.tomsanokaliptus.com
