First of all we booked a packge with Thomas Cook Glasgow - Dalaman 2nd July - 16th/17th July flight going out 17:20 get to airport just after 3pm to find flight delayed till 19:20 ok not a problem checked bags & went through to departures too chill and await call to go to gate this happened at 6:40 ...this is where the s**t hit the fan some passengers were drinking I had a couple myself ...but some were getting tore right into the bevvy ....screen now said update at 20:00....then 21:00 ....one guy found out we had a technical fault with the plane & that we would maybe have to wait till after midnight to fly
....also found out the plane was from another company Lithuainian I heard.Turned out we would not be flying on the 2nd July & were to off load our luggage & be put in a hotel for the night .....ths was after we had watched 2 other later Dalaman Thomas Cook flights depart on time in yes you've guessed it Thomas Cook Planes.
Down to reclaim our bags & a further 40-50 minute wait to get bags now some people were really getting upset by this time & I noticed to armed police were mulling around the baggage reclaim .
Bags collected the buses were at the other end of GAA so onto them everyone gets & after a head count the 3 coaches set off too Sunny Renfrew to a hotel on the Paisley road west & cued outside it in the rain to check in.

Up to bed around 1am till our 5am pick up to go back too the airport to catch our now 7am flight on 3rd july...checked bags back in & got £10 meal vouchers to spend in any food & beverages outlet in the airport trouble was we got through checking at 06:15 & flight was 07:00 so we made our way to the gate & I stopped in at WHS for juice & crips guess what WHS don't take vouchers
So down to the gate we went along with the rest of the wearing & some hungover holidaymakers
We get through the gate boarding pass & passport checked we are nearly on the plane at last but we are on the gangway & not moving must have been a full 30 mins minimum to be told all back up into the airport the aircraft had developed another technical fault
Now some of the passengers were getting very angry & now the police were called to the gate ...two passengers checked off the flight so this ment looking for there luggage more delay
eventually we got on the plane only to sit for a further 40mins and were told that we were waiting on two passengers , then we were told they had been booked off the flight the previous night
This did not go down well & one man totally lost the plot & demanded to be taken off the flight with his wife we could all see a further delay but after 5 mins more he was talked back on & we went on our way take off time 09:00
We were ab;le to spend our food vouchers on the plane but the food was rank rotten they came round with complamntery meals later on on the flight my wife asked for the veggie opton & she was told to pick the meat out of the one she was given
Get to Marmaris & check into the Marlin apts basic but ok .
But not alot of stuff to self cater with two rings & a kettle I only cook breakfast but I had to go & buy utensils to cook with ...why is sold as self catering when t quite clearly is not.
Two days into the holiday & my 13yr old son's appendix busrts & he has to get an emergancy operation & stays in hospital for 5 days ...I have to say Bonita the Thomas Cook rep in the hospital was first class & really helped us ...& the treatment my lad got was great
We managed to enjoy the last few days of our time in Marmars
Bet your wonering about our homeward flight ...yes it was delayed but only abut 1hr 30mins so you could say that the earliest Thomas Cook have been late for a while
