Nice review, seems as though you had a great time, how long would it take in a taxi to P.Rico and how much ?

Welcome home val and rob :D I was looking at Playa Taurito myself for a possible future holiday, maybe give Gran Can another chance after feeling a little let down in PDI this Easter. I'll certainly consider it after reading your lovely review.

right, taxi to PR will take you about 10 to 15 mins at a guess, maybe 20. Although it is only 9km from Taurito, the roads go high up ino the cliffs with lots of sharp bends so the drivers have to go slow...it is a long way to the bottom! Price wise, well it goes up 3 cents every so many yard and the flat fee starts from the rank at about 1 euro 90..so i am guessing somewhere in the region of between 10 and 15 euro's..but i did not get a taxi to PR.. we actually sailed there from Peurto Mogan which took 20 mins and was 10 euro's return.. a very pleasant way to get about. This price includes a free glass of sangria and a sweet for the kids...sailings are at 15 past the hour from Mogan and half past the hour returning....there are other places you can sail to at reasonable prices
(Arguinagan, Anfi etc).

...well the flights were spot on for a change. Donny is such an easy airport to go to and from for us as we live just 12 miles away. There were no delays either way this time. Usually, we get delayed coming back off our holidays...last tme it was coz the french air traffic control were on strike...going out, flight time is about 4 hrs 3 mins but coming back with a good tail wind it is less than 4 hours..

....well it is absolutey freezing back here.. we got off the plane and the tempature dropped by over 20 degrees and i think i am still in shock!!!..the luggage..security restrictons are still in place with regards to liquids despite what is publically said. My sister in law had to taste the babies milk and drink in front of the security guards..no other liquids were allowed through but you can buy them after you have gone through. They are quite strict on excess baggage charges but if you notify thomsonfly in advance, the charge is alot cheaper. We gort Rob's diving equipment through as an extra at £30 return and it was a massive heavy bag...
thomsonfly were pleasant to fly wit and t my utter shock, on te way home a hostess named hayley took one look at me and asked me a few questions and it turned out that she was from the same village as me and remembered me being a kids entertainer when she was little, had been entertained by me in the past and was now due to become a student at the diving school rob helps out at

Cyberspace, you should definiely go to Taurito Princess. As repeat guests, not only did Rob and me ge a bottle of wine and a basket of fruit left in our room but so did the rest of the family who we were taking for the first time. In addition, it was my dads birthday while he was there and they sent him champagne. There are so many extra touches they do that make it a special place..i will tell more in my review...
PDI is a bit of a doss hole anyway ( IMHO of course) and i am sure if you went to Taurito or Mogan u would not be disappointed...
:wave for now eveyone....

Is it a good place for teenagers? (ages 14/15 & 17/18)
Reply
my teenage son (14/15) has been twice now. He has enjoyed it both times and made friends both times. Your teenagers will be able to join in the animation programme for older people if they so wish, this includes things like rifle shooting, archery, water polo ( daily) etc.

There were less teenagers around this time than last time but all the ones i met through Gav said they were having a good time.
