I was there, albeit a few years back (99 or 2000 I think) Can't speak highly enough of the place.
If I can help, fire away. I'm at work, so can't promise fast replies (but I do look to get my priorities right if you know what I mean!)

Hi thanks for dropping in. I was just wondering if there were actually tea and coffe making facilities in each room and if the sunbeds on the beach recline fully as all the pictures I find everyone seems to sat up on the beach. I know it's not much but when one of my cravings is tea with the need to be able to lie out to be most comfy to accomodate a growing bump they are both quite important to me.

How long did you stay for and do you have any recomendations as to food, drink or excursions or pictures of the place?

Thanks
Kristy :)

I actually can't remember if there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room, it's not something I do when I'm away. I'm sure there are though.
I recall that the loungers allowed you to lie flat. I don't think being pregnant should be a problem for you, but then again I am a man, so what would I know!
I stayed two weeks. Absolutely brilliant, can't say how good it was. It's a very small island, takes about 10 mins to walk round if you take your time. And that's going to the end of each jetty! There was one restaurant, but the food was superb, every single person there at the same time as me raved about it.
The bar is small, but friendly. There was nothing in the way of entertainment except a "disco" once a week. Very very relaxed.
There are a few excursions. I never went to Mali, there is one to a deserted island where they take you, lweave you and pick you up. There is a day to visit a Maldivian village and do some snorkling around a massive shipwreck. Great day lazing on the deck of a boat.
Komandoo is one of the southern most islands. We took the sea plane down, it cuts the journey to 45 mins. I think it's about 4 hrs by boat.
I don't have much in the way of pictures as I'm no longer with the person I went with. Sorry.
Have you looked at their website. I think it's komandoo.com. I found the guestbook very helpful when I went. Tells you lots of handy things like not to take shoes, or take minimal amounts as the bar and restaurant we sand, so it's bare feet all the time (if you want). It will probably have more up to date pic, and room facilties etc.

Sorry if there's typos, in a rush........
