The £150 per person and the 20% compensation FC are offering is this for every person due to go to the Kos Aqua this year?
WHY is everyone so fixed with money, the fact is FC can not provide us with the holiday we booked and we entered into a contract for - so they should provide us with and by their own statement a holiday "of a better standard, where possible" than we booked. If it costs more - then that is down to them and their loss adjustment, which they can counter claim in their "legal action against the contractors" - who can we counter claim against? our credit cards?????
I am with you. F/c have totally comsumed my life for months and this weekend has had the same effect on me, as yourself.
I had the children crying because they want waterslides like I promised and now I am even having to look at going to Turkey, which has always been out of the question!!!!
If you would like me to phone you, give me a pm with your number because over the weekend I have learned some very interesting facts about the financially implications. Especially which holiday you intend to take.

Sorry to hear about no electricity yesterday and now the impending thunderstorm!

I totally agree with you and FC should be doing the best at making sure that everyone gets the best holiday for there requirements if needs be paying £1000 more to make sure it is what they require.

At least I know I'm not the only one. I'm also consumed with the posting a few back of being a day before their holiday and FC have not contacted them - it's just beyond words of printable standard, they don't give a F..., do they? What a terrible situation for just ordinary folk like us wanting our holiday to be in!!!.
Let me sort out my freezer and iron some work shirts for hubby for the morning and I will be on the case - life must go on (unfortunately for us girls) Sorry Wizard, being sexist again, but I am very sorry England are coming home - not being a footy fan either.

Like a few , we booked for September, we have been in to travel agent and they said they have to wait for a letter to be posted out so as they can suggest alternatives. As for compensation, we have no idea as to what we will recieve to put towards antoher holiday, wait and see.... (we didnt book through FC but through Thompsons). They said it shouldnt take long as FC are going in order of the travel dates so we will be bottom of the pile. It would be nice to know if all KABC ers will recieve an equal compensation deal.!!
I booked through thomsons, but it doesn't matter. You will still get the same compensation.

For those of you who are wondering, I have ironed 5 shirts, am bl..dy hot and as my PC is in the hall by the front door, I have it wide open along with the rest of the house and am having a cool down and.....another cup of coffee and a fag. T break lads!!!! got to keep sane

we should have gone 19 july. after the bbc programm FC finally allowed me to change my holiday.
we are off to atlantic suites in fuerteventura. the price of my kos holiday was £2500, thats for king size bed, sea view.
my new holiday was priced at almost £4000, i refused point blank to pay any extra, so FC agreed to pay £900, travel agent paid £300 and i had to pay £300 in the end.
i do feel for all of you.
Hello all, i am travelling to Turkey now on Wednesday so am not really in a position at the moment to fully explore the legal implications and the possibility of action. When i return i will be doing this. If anyone wants to contact Ross Fernihough as suggested by wizard then please do so. Just pm me with any details you garner and on my return i can read them. I would be happy to group together on this with anyone who feels we may have a case. My understanding is that we would have to prove any breach of contract by FC and importantly also show an incurred loss. We cant just take legal action against fc because they have annoyed us. Acting in vengeance never gets results and i recommend everyone gets holidays sorted and then sits back for a few days and thinks with a clear head.
Just finished cooking tea, just got to do the ironing next - think I will wait until a bit later when it cools down though!
How about those interested meeting up on msn? Never done it before enmasse (only to Lisa London who is my only contact bless her), but both my sons do it and they manage to chat to about 20 people at a time!

Like some others we settled on: Cyprus - Club Atlantica.. Have got Junior suite rooms, same airport with better flight times to Larnaca, same dates, plus money back.. this all seemed to calculate from £150.00 pp + 20%... though I am sure they give with one hand and take with the other.
We reserved this holiday on a 3 day option and then this morning at 9.00am got through straight away to FC on the 0161 number and got the swap organised. The guy on the "dedicated FC Kos cancel team" was, yet again, brilliant and if you stick to your guns they will do as much as they can for you.
We did try to blag a holiday in Mexcio / Cuba but got told that was too higher price difference, though if I hadn't found the Cyprus one I would have argued alot more to get the holiday replaced with a more expensive one in S America.

Yep Wendy I'm with you. And Firebird as ever sound advice, a cool head is called for in this situation, but what they have done - you have got to admit is beyond belief for most of us, but the first and foremost point is as you say - get our own holiday sorted out - enjoy what we can and then re-group after. However I still think a little "public" publicity can do no harm.
How many of you were booked for the Aqau Beach. You should have got £500 compensation plus £150 per person off your other holiday
Can anyone give me advice?
We were going to KABC on the 9th August. After reading all the posts in beginning of June, we decided to change our holiday and not wait for bad news. Our new holiday cost £1,000 more and we lost our free child place. Do you think we will get any compensation? We only changed our holiday because we did not want to wait and then not be offered anything? Advice PLEASE!!
Karen - how do I get through to FC on the dedicated 0161 number - do I have to wait for 25 hours not 25 lots of different (how it seems) ringing tones as both of me and my fellow holiday partner tadalaja are doing at the moment - if anyone has any secret tips please tell!!!. We are both back at work tomorrow morning 6 and 8am it's going to be a nightmare! to get in touch now.
