What about yourselfs??
Anyway sorry dont want to go off topic so - today its 4 weeks till our first FC guests arrives, surely any delays in opening would have been announced? im feeling ok today about it all, been shopping (again) for more holiday bits (at this rate we will need to pay for excess baggage) and I also had my weekly weigh in and lost another 3lbs this week, so thats just over 2 stones this year aiming still for at least another stone before holiday. This time 7 weeks I will be there..............

Did get Jessie's message - thanks, only got it this evening cos it's been a nightmare getting on here. Will get Lauren to reply tomorrow.
Can one of our Dutch Freinds please interpret the below for me?
I made a mock booking to see what dates available etc but the prices is broken down where as it was not fro me when I booked it:

Reisverzekering (Pakket B, Europadekking)1: 62,80
Annuleringsverzekering1: 136,40
KidsWorld Vakantiepakket2: 10,00
Vluchttoeslag 60,00

I took note that it looks like there will be a barbeque resturant and I wonder what the 30% dicount voucher is for?
Hope you are all looking forward to your holidays! We have been buying beach towels and such like, time is ticking away quite quickly!
It was I who mentioned chilly evenings.
I asked sp55 if the evenings would still be cooler when we go ( 24th May for 2 weeks) and he replyed with yes a jacket would be needed in the evenings but don't forget as I know myself from living in greece in the past that to the locals they feel it much cooler but to us who are used to much lower climates epecially at the mo would feel warmer, however I feel Jacket NO but light cardi etc would be reccomended, as it takes a while for the heat to get into the ground to keep the evenings warmer??!! does that make sense?? Perhaps not and I'm just waffling!!
One thing we have no control of is the Weather but I'm feeling positive it is gonna be a scorcher!
Just Pulled out the Suitcase from the attic to Start packing last weekend and when I checked on Passports I noticed 2 of my childrens passports had run out 5 years had gone by so Quick
Just got them countersigned to-day and itook a sharp trip to p/o for fast tracking service ( extra £5 I think ) lady said should be back in 2 weeks
SO Double Check EveryOne!!
anyway my input for this evening.

Daily Towels are provided for the pool / beach as it states in brochure? I wasn't going to bother taking any this time to save on weight as we never used our own on our last holiday where they were provided? Everytime they got really damp or grubby during the day we just went and swapped for fresh ones?
No not the first time for my older two kids but first time taking one so young abroad before so new experience!
Your kids must be really excited being their first time and all - lets hope FC don't diappoint them all eh?
We flying from Glasgow! well hopefully! We were meant to be going on the 31st May for two weeks but after all this thought we would cut down to 1 week just in case rather not be stuck there for twowhole weeks with three kids if it aint up to scratch!

contacted trading standards today about hotel / loss of facilities etc. they confirm that this is inbreach of this act if they are not offering any alternative activities.
http://www.opsi.gov.uk/si/si1992/Uksi_19923288_en_1.htm
then on TS advice contacted ABTA (50p a flamin minute!!!)who has confirmed that any 'significant changes' made since the advertised brochure contravenes their code. ABTA have suggested that everyone logs down everthing that may not be included in the brochure and complain on return.
IF those who wish to change hotel / holiday under the terms of the contract with activities missing i.e. Horse riding can change their holiday without incurring a penalty as this is seen as a 'significant' change of details.
however expressed my concern about FC's inefficiency at after sales contact and they advised me to pay the remaining balance due next week and deal with any complaint after the holiday. if after 2 attempts to complain to FC fail then ABTA will take on your case. Significant changes include downgrading of rating of hotel etc/loss of amenities/ activities which are advertised.
i did read about the towels but was not sure how it worked. If you can get fresh ones every day then this is great news. Thanks for letting us know as I was planning to take a suitcase full of them as we are a large family!
Cheers
