I read this forum because I'm off to Kos this year too, not KABC and not with first choice but I wanted to give some moral support!

I'm not an expert but I'd like to try and reasure you! It sounds to me like building work got delayed - you always get all the usual excuses! I can see that several power cuts at in-opportune times could put work back significantly.

I also think that had in opened on time the number of people staying would have begun small annd increased gradually! meaning less teething problems? Now they are opening later and they have all these booking suddenly turning up it would seem sensible to me stay closed for a little bit longer and do extra staff training so there are no teething problems!

I think the reason the weren't vacancies for 24th May and now there are is probably because people that had booked 2 weeks from 17 May have probably been moved!

I'm sure those of you that have been moved will have a good time - take the opportunity to visit somewhere new! It sounds to me like most of you got some sort of upgrade or partial refund so that's not too bad is it?

Debbie "....we paid £8,545.89 but the new holiday is over £3000 cheaper so weve had a good spend on clothes today....weve had to cancel our exsisting minibus ....it is costing us £300, then add to that the fact we have to pay £10 each that £60 for us for a visa to get into Turkey were skint before we go. How can you say you got £3k back which you spent on clothes and in the same breath complain about extra taxi costs and visas that cost only £360? I assume you don't have to pay for both minibuses?

Hi Sukaay, we also go on the 28th June (hopefully!). I hope its open by then. Not even bothered if its not finished really as long as the sunshines and i have somewhere to sleep. Maybe we will meet each other whilst we are there. I suggest putting a notice on the reps noticeboard with a time to meet in a particular bar for all Holidaytruth forum members. I am sure there will be a few more there at the same time. What do you think?

Hi firebirdapachie, I agree we have got to hope now that it is ready for us. If we have food, sun and no bored children everything will be fine Nice thought to meet up we could all compare notes hope others will be interested. There are six adults and two boys age 10 and 7 in our party we have two kids dens and one standard room. If it is built.

Hi Sukaay, the kids dens are supposed to be good from what i have read elsewhere If anyone else wants to meet up, then i will arrange something whilst we are there. Have you been to Kos before? I have been several timesto Tingaki and think it is a really nice place.

yes firebirdapachie we have been to kos before, we also stayed in tingaki. We usually hire a car so that we can have a look at the rest of the island, Zia is a nice place to visit and the thermal springs have you been to any of these.

I was so sad to read that many of you have had your holidays cancelled, you must all be absolutely gutted. We are just praying that everything will be OK for us when we go in June.

We fly out on the 28/06 for 14 nights and there will be 8 of us in our group (4 adults, 2 stroppy 11 yr old girls, a screaming 4 year old and a mardy 6year old) so I am sure you will know who we are.

I'm sure that we will all be ready for a drink by the time we arrive, so count us in too.

Hi Ajenkins, where do you fly from, we fly from manchester, 7-15am. Early get up it could be worse we could have had a night flight. We will be ready for a drink. will be nice to meet you.

Hi Sukaay. We have terrible flights. We depart Birmingham at 22.50 and we do not arrive until 04.45 - not looking forward to it!!! Should be OK hopefully all the kids will sleep - she say's!!!!

Sukaay, yes i have been to the thermal spings. They are hot! have you been to the nature park, with the peacocks and tortoises roaming around free? Watch out for the snakes in the undergrowth though

Limit123 how many are there of you do you have any children, we are only 40 minutes from airport so it not to bad getting there because there are 8 of us we get a mini-bus.

When I booked I asked for a late checkout room and now that I have my invoice it doesn't say anything on there about it.

Should it be showing up on my invoice ?

alex uk your late check out room should be on your invoice because you have paid for it. Ring them straight away and complain. Otherwise they will say that you cant have booked it else it would be on your invoice

When we WERE going to KABC (was it really just this time last week that the chaos began?!) our invoice definately showed late check-out room, so as Firebird Apache says - ring them and sort it now!

I'm looking forward to reading all your reviews when you get back as we intend to go there next summer now. At least my new flights are arriving in Turkey in reasonable time, but I'd still rather go to Kos and meet some of you guys and be at our choice of hotel.

My heart stopped this morning - I received a letter from First Choice, I really didnt want to open it lol, anyway it was just to confirm that my balance needs to be paid by 19th April - phew
