What are you looking for Bejay ?
somewhere nice tavernas, nice wine, not too far to walk into Kos. In our laate fifties.Decent balcony, poss with view. Thanks
Kos Town is about 2 miles but regular buses run up and down the road and there is a bus stop outside the hotel.
The hotel is on a bit of a hill - but nothing too energetic (as long as you are reasonably fit and healthy) and worth it for the views (sea view rooms have a small extra charge - do pay it - you would not regret it).
There were some local tavernas but we didn't try them. Hotel entertainment was pretty low key.
Try Medhotels, Broadway Travel or Bookandstay and book flights separately as you may well get a better deal than through a travel agent.

The kids and I are just back from Kos (returned 11th August). We had a fantastic holiday at the Ambavris Apartments. Family run apartments, spotlessly clean and only a 10 to 15 minute walk into Kos Town so away from the biz. They have a small snack bar restaurant which does great breakfasts and snacks for during the day, there is a great taverna less than 5 minutes walk away (we all called it the blue restaurant cos we couldn't pronounce it's name) which does authentic Greek food and a lot of locals eat there so you know it is good. The family do a Greek night once a week with a cracking barbeque meal and greek dancing. I was there with my two teenagers and had an absolute ball. I'm already looking at booking for next year. Most people I met there go year after year.
I can also recommend the Iberostar Kipriotis Panorama at Psaldi, it was perfect for us last September. We liked the Iberostar hotel so much that we are going to one on Crete this September. The food is first class.
