Kosmar have started to reduce their prices for May already. "Late adjustments" knocking off quite a bit on some destinations. Still loads of avaiability, I would imagine these will drop quite a bit, serves themselves right, they've really messed this up in my opinion. Let's get back to the old Kosmar and if you want to try and change things, do it under the XL brand name - keep Kosmar as it was.

I just wanted to be a bit different, and tell people about a GOOD :D experiance I've just had with Kosmar :!:
We'd booked online to go to Crete for one week at the end of July. Last week, my hubby decided that if possible, he'd like to add a further week. Because it was before the week we'd already booked, it came up very cheap. Infact, the internet was saying we could go for two weeks, covering the second already booked week for just £25 more in total. I knew we'd have to pay the 'Admin charges', but phoned to see what they said. At first, the guy I spoke to said that I was looking at the internet price, which included a £56 online discount. However, once I'd asked him what the best price was that he could do, he came back and said we could have the extra week for an additional £30, plus admin charges :!:
He said that it was because we'd changed it before the balance was due, that we'd managed to get such a good deal!!

So, my attitude is to go with the flow. Holiday companies are large organisations, and things do go wrong / get changed at the last minute, which can be upsetting. However, sometimes; just sometimes, you can be a winner. We are very happy to have been able to add the extra week for such a low price.
Now we're just counting the weeks down to that sunshine...... :sun2

So Kosmar/KL have gone BUST today. All those cheap deals were NOT so good after all. They were also carriers for Libra & Olympic.Feel sorry for holiday makers & apartment/hoteliers.All the resorts will be quieter now.

I assume you are flying into Kalamata. I dont think charter flights use this airport at this time of year so you should be OK

rdv the trouble is that XL weren't just a charter airline, they also ran loads of scheduled flights to many different destinations.

Thanks for pointing that out Graham. Argos shouldn't be a problem anyway because it easily accessable from Athens

I am a little baffled you have made a booking and paid a deposit but you dont know who you are flying with or where you are staying !! Seems a strange way to book a trip.

Kind Regards

It was booked by a 3rd party as a group booking so it was probably a case of just handing over some money and letting someone else take it on. At least he knows where he's supposed to be going!!

Spot on rdv...country wide thing done through sons club...they say no details for security reasons...but frustrating for the likes of me who cross the t's and dot the i's before I travel any where abroad...as I would expect all our members do...and all the guests who read our posts for information...Im relieved to hear we arent tangled up in the xl mess...but concerned others are...you would expect the small airlines ect to be going down like nine pins before a big player like xl went down...bit like the banks it seems the old saying rings true " the bigger you are the harder you fall "

What security reasons ? This is in the Kosmar thread who were part of the XL group and are no more.
