Excel bought out Kosmar early May - not sure how much difference it will make to the running of the company.
Apartments were great
The flight this year from EMA was with British Midland
The best flights inbound and outbound
Food was excellent

Got tickets for our trip to Samos with Kosmar on Exel four weeks before departure, and the flights havent changed from when we booked.
You have to fly out on time yet, keep touching wood!
Hi. We got back yesterday from Parga. On the outward flight we landed at Kefalonia to drop people off then went onto Preveza. The journey took nearly 6 hours Nightmare. The staff on board said it would take about 20/30 mins to remove luggage and then get people on board for the return flight to East Midlands. Yeah right. We weren't made aware of this when we booked. People go on about Kosmar being cheap but we paid the same as our friends and their flight/accommodation were far superior to ours. All I can say, is look at First Choice. I would be amazed if you can get a better deal with Kosmar (re quality of accommodation). Gx
Sorry you were KOSMARRED, many of us agree that their island hopping antics and less than honest approach can tend to spoil a holiday but do take care what you say about KOSMAR as you may find your posts removed or receive abusive personal mail, not so nice!
Hi Craven. What I was trying to say is I think you can get superior accommodation/flights with First Choice. People seem to be of the opinion that Kosmar are very cheap but our friends paid the same as us (for 3 of them) and their accommodation was far superior to ours. Dont get me wrong, we picked our accommodation because we had such a good time last year but the owner has had a personality byepass since then . Look out for my friend's review on the Greek forum. Another thing, the flight (both ways) was free seating (no allocation of seats) so you can imagine it was a bit of a free for all Gx

Craven .... you are correct, you do have to be careful what you say. Some of your posts have indeed been removed or edited over the many months which you have been posting about Excel and Kosmar, as part of your campaign against them. In order to protect this site, we cannot allow you to post potentially libelous comment, or make insensitive remarks such as those about cancer which upset several members. You clearly have a grudge, but you have been allowed to make your points and all you are doing now is repeating the same old stuff over and over again. It is perhaps time to move on, as most of our members are now finding it all rather tedious.

Hi. Is it true that Excel Airways now own Kosmar? Gx
Well said David, as someone who remembers his insensitive comments and complained at the time, I second that motion
I've just noticed Kosmar have reduced a lot of flight supplements to "next to nothing". It's the first time I have ever seen this, I thought flight supplements were fixed ??????????????????????
Hi Robby. Are you talking about next year?
Some of the reductions are from £50, down to £10. Some cheap prices as well over the next six weeks.
Robby
Hi. Is that good for Greek hoteliers/studio/apartment owners.
Just an update on my flights and accomodation for you mate.
I'm sorry to say but my flights both ways were not only on time, but also very comfortable, the food was edible and the in flight films were very good and I hadnt seen either of them.
The accomodation in Samos, Pelagos Apartments were excellent, really clean and very picturesque with a lovely pool and right opposite the beach, come to think of it, exactly what it says on the Kosmar website.
Sorry and all that, but I thought you'd like to know.
I think it will be Corfu for me next year, with Kosmar and hopefully Exel.
I have been with Kosmar for the last 9 holidays and have never once been 'KOSMARED' as you keep continuously stressing. Flights were bang on time going to Parga earlier this summer and the aircraft (yes, Excel airways) was clean and the transfers, reps and accommodation was spot on.
Yes you may have been burned, but this can happen with any Tour Operator. This is a very bad year for tourism, what with bombs in Turkey and threats of terrorism and flights are not filling up. Flights have to be consolidated in order to maintain a profit for the Tour Operator in order for decent prices to be maintained.
If you hate Kosmar so badly, stay away, but don't go on a one man mission to try and bring them down. Lots of people, myself included, have had fantastic holidays with them, you haven't, so stay away.
We have travelled lots of times with Kosmar and are again in October.
Yes we have encountered delays but accomodation has been fine for what we want, somewhere to sleep and change before going out to enjoy Greek food.
I would recommend them to anyone.
Sarah
