Hi ya! Sorry for the late reply. I haven't managed to get on here for awhile :( We booked through going place. Dreading the monarch flight. We got a great deal too we got a £700 discount as we have booked through them for years for destinations around the world so we only paid just of 2k for two weeks all inclusive.

I hope you have a lovely time

We went to Kuramathi last year, and loved it.

We also had the intention of upgrading our room, but didn't bother, and decided to spend the money on other things instead.

The snorkelling is amazing, loads to see on the house reef, and the Marine Biologist centre is good. No need to bring your own snorkelling gear, it is free to use, and you keep it for the whole week, but you do pay a deposit.

The food in the AI restaurant was fairly decent, above the standard of a lot of AI I have been to. We ate in the Beach Grill twice, once because we had booked a Lobster beach dinner and it rained, and once because we had like it so much we went back there. DO try the Indian restaurant if you like that type of food. We went on the buffet night, and it was amazing! Very busy and a good atmosphere.

There are no sunbeds on the Village part of the island, we found this fine. We spent most of our days on the beach next to the bar, and there were never more than two other couples there. Snorkelling is good from that beach, LOADS fo sharks by the breakers there, and we saw dolphins about 10m from shore quite a few times, as the reef drops away there.

We didn't do any excursions, but we went to the spa, and did a 'couples' package. It was well worth the money, very romantic and relaxing. We went in the evening, which, I think made it better, as it was dark outside.

I'm sure you'll love it!

awww thanks for the awesome review. We are really looking forward to going. We have been to Biyadoo once before and are going back on ew years. We have also booked Kuramathi for next summer. I am a bit concerned about there being no sunbeds or any kind of proper seating on the beach. Are the standard rooms decent then?

We were in the 'middle' class of room. I can't remember what they call it. It was fine, charming, a bit basic, but had a fridge. Very clean. We did have an inside bathroom though, the higher class of room had a partially outside one.

The sunbed thing is no problem at all, I just lay on the beach on my towel. If you use the beach by the beach bar, there are a few plastic patio type chairs you can move onto the beach. Handy, as drinks are close by, and the waiters will come over an doffer to get a drink for you.
