Hi everyone. Has anyone been to this site? we are thinking of going here sometime in the Easter holidays or even October half term 2010. Would like to visit Disneyland paris for the day. The reviews that I have read look good, but would be good to get some pointers from any holiday truthers who've been!
we are thinking that we could get the Eurostar to paris and make our way from there to the campsite. . Does anyone know how long, and how we would get there. Would we need to hire a car, or could we get a train or coach to the site, and would we need to have a car once on the site, or is there any accessible public transport that we could use to get out and about for a bit, and see the surrounding area. Would prefer not to hire a car unless we really needed to, as this will bump up the holiday cost even more
Sorry for all the questions,- just one more though, if we went in October, would everything still be open, or is it all winding down then?
Many thanks. Any relies greatly appreciated.
we have stayed here 3 times,it's a lovely site
we self drive using the eurotunnel
It's a bit in the middle of nowhere, so would think you have to hire a car,no idea how long the train would take etc or if a coach would go there
It's an hours drive from Disneyland and we do daytrips, but the site does offer coach trips if you didn't want to drive ( not sure how often during Oct though)
yes it is all winding down in Oct half term ( been twice at that time) as they close soon after
but the weather was fab at that time in 2009 ,and still plenty to do . Also the Halloween season at Disney is fab! we love it
TBH if you don't want to hire a car / drive then one of the sites closer to Disney / Paris might suit ?
Le Chene Gris is where we have booked for this Oct half term wkend,it's 15 mins drive from Disney with a train station close by ( not a direct train to Disney though )
but once at Disney you can get the train to Paris easily
HTH a bit

I'm not sure whether Eurocamp still goes to Camping International but it is very accessable if you don't want to have a car. It's 5/10 minutes walk from the train in a suburb that has restaurants, supermarkets, etc and is on a direct train line to both central Paris and EuroDisney. We were there in 2002 with a 21 month old and managed to do several days in Paris plus a day at EuroDisney without getting in the car.
Quite fancy going in October half term, and thinking about using tesco deals for a Siblu park perhaps. XX
we book ours with the SUN £9.50 holidays!
3 times @ Berny in 2006/07/09 and just booked for this Oct at Le Chene Gris
apart from those 2 parks, they also offer Paris International as mentioned above
