Hi
Going to Bonne Anse Plage La Palmyre, Royan in July.
Not sure which route to take. I was planning the A83/A10 to Saintes then over to Royan but Via Michelin has suggested going via La Rochelle / Rochefort which is shorter but no so good roads. Anyone have experience of either route? Not sure if it makes much difference.
Also would appreciate any info on Hypermarket (Royan I guess but where?)
Also I assume there are ATMs at La Palmyre?
Any advice welcomed
From Caen or St Malo its quicker via La Rochelle / Rochefort. I come off the motorway at Fontenay le comte centre ( second exit after La Rochelle, Lucon, st hermine) then follow signs for Marans, this way you don't get caught behind lorries travelling from Lucon.
Hypermarket is E Lerclerc on the Rocade in Royan near the go karting. There are two ATMs in La Palmyre one next to the super market Corsair & one next to the PMU (good racing bar cheap for a beer or two!!!).
Enjoy your trip to Bonne Anse
Thanks very much. Hadn't even thought of that exit.
Thanks also for the other advice - much appreciated.
