Incase anyone should be interested a very nice, young, widowed Goan girl I know now has her own taxi service she is based in Calangute/candolim and her telephone number is 9822144478 ...........this is such a good idea for any girls who might be travelling alone and may not want to use male taxis at night etc also its giving her a living, she has three kids to support I have known her some years as she was a carer to a mutual friend whio has now 'expired' she has asked me tell my friends about her taxi and to give her number to anyone interested.She also does airport runs (700 rps)

If she gives fair prices (no pun intended) I'm sure she will be popular evryone should promote the honest taxi drivers on here to try to send out the message that we do not take kindly to being exploited and ripped off at every opportunity.

Good for her, hope she does well. Can I give a plug to the little group of taxi drivers parked on the beach road next to Casa Seashell. They are a really nice group, and don't rip you off - in fact will go out of their way to help you.
