Can anyone who is visiting Lagos over the Christmas holiday please put my mind at rest.
I took a photo of the crib scene in the Praça Gil Eanes last week - a lovely scene of the Holy family and a sheep, cow and goat.
I have just plugged my camera into my p.c. and,to my amazement, Mary and Joseph aren't there !!!
Whilst I can't say for certain that the two figures were there when I took the shot ( I'm not famous for composing a photograph before I hit the button, and always leave the photographing 'til the last possible moment of a holiday, so it was done in a rush !!),I know, in my own mind, and my wife agrees, that they were definitely there when we first walked into the Praça that week.
Please, anybody, put our minds at rest and tell us that we didn't imagine the two missing figures.
Edit : I am reliably informed by my other half that the 'goat' was, in fact, a donkey !
Hi Sagres I saw 3 different scenarios at the crib. 1, it was empty. 2, there were cut outs of the standard crib figures and the 3rd and nicest was children dressed up as the figures and live animals. Now what was there when you took your photograph I think you'll have to ask Harry Potter or suchlike.
Seems maybe they were in the process of changing the scene when I took the photo;I feel a bit happier now and am going to postpone my appointment at the clinic for the confused & bewildered !!
